Surprise

"Jada why the hell you keep playing?! Bring your ass on girl," I screamed at my girlfriend for the third time. "Why does it always take you forever to get dressed?" I stood in the mirror looking myself up and down as I waited. I had on a royal blue blazer with high waisted white pants, and nude heels. It was our anniversary and I had a surprise waiting on her, but she was taking forever just to get dressed. I'm rude as hell let me introduce myself while I'm waiting, I'm Latricia Nicole but you can call me Trish. I'm 5'6, slim thick, brownskin, and feisty as hell.  I was caught off guard when I turned around to see jada looking as beautiful as ever. She had on a royal blue dress that stopped mid thigh, it hugged her curves in all the right places and had a deep v cut in the front. Her makeup was perfect accented by a nude lipstick and her hair was placed in a perfect bun. I looked her up and down and bit my lip. I knew I was going to have a hard time keeping my hands off her tonight. "Well damn girl... No wonder it took so long." I looked at her one more time before I walked down the stairs.  I looked at my watch to make sure we weren't too late. We were only behind a couple minutes and we had a thirty minute ride to get there. I texted my best friend Amber to make sure every thing was in place before we left out.  I opened the door for Jada smiling softly as she walked in front of me with her hips swaying slightly. I walked up to the Range Rover opening her door and helping her in. I hopped in turning on Sunday Candy by Chance The Rapper and smiling as she held my hand singing along with the song. When we pulled up to the venue, cloud 21, she turned to me and raised her perfectly arched eyebrow and said, "Babe they don't even look open. What are we doing here." I smirked and hopped out walking over to her side then opened her door. "Let's go baby. I'm sure they open, you know they slow on Fridays sometimes." As we walked closer we heard the music playing and she looked less suspicious. We walked past the first set of doors and went into a private suite in the back of the club. She asked if we were supposed to be back here because the lights were out. I didn't respond instead I just turned on the lights and watched her mouth drop as all of our friends hopped out of the shadows. She turned bright red and I saw her eyes water. "Don't be a crybaby. You know I wasn't going to just take you to a club on our anniversary." She turned around and slapped the back of my neck while our friends laughed and Amber walked up to us giving us both hugs. I looked down at my best friend, a stud, who stood at 5'4, Amber was dressed in khaki slacks and a royal blue button down with a white Bow tie. I looked around at everyone's royal blue and white attire smiling at the turnout. I pulled Amber to the side while everyone came up to Jada greeting her.  "Is everything set up man...Best friend I'm nervous as shit." She just smiled and nodded and I felt a little less nervous. Jada walked over to us ,smiling hard as hell, and asked what we were talking about. I looked her up and down biting my lip,"I was just telling Amber how fine you look tonight ma." She turned bright red before giggling and grabbing my arm as I looked down at her petite frame and how she was filling out her dress. She pulled me onto the dance floor as 2012 By Chris Brown came on. She was grinding against me while the words played. I looked down at her and pulled her closer then whispered in her ear," Just wait till I get you home. You know what you were doing when you put that dress on ma!" She smirked and continued to grind, when the song was over I left her in the crowd to walk up on the small stage set up. I grabbed the mic and tapped it a couple times to get everyone's attention. I gulped and gave myself a prep talk in my head then put on a bright smile. "CAN I HAVE EVERYONES ATTENTION PLEASE?!" Everybody turned to look  and the music stopped. "Baby can you come up here for a second?" I watched as the crowd parted and she walked up to the stage. I grabbed her hand and looked her in the eyes, "You know we've been kicking it for five years now. We have had our ups and down especially within these last couple of months but as usual we have pulled it together. You know I love you with all of me and I wouldn't trade your irritating ass for the world. We been through so much and I want to let you know I appreciate you for putting up with me, even though you don't have to.  I really am glad to be able to say this is year five for us and these have been the happiest five years of my life. I brought all these people here tonight to ensure that they were here when I asked you a special question." I saw her eyes widen when she realized what I was doing. She turned bright red as our parents walked in from their hiding place in the next room over and I got down on one knee. "Will you..." That's as far as I got before I heard three shots ring out. I felt the first pierce my leg and screamed as the second pierced my arm. I watched in horror as the third pierced jadas abdomen and her mouth formed a perfect O before she fell without making a sound. I struggled to crawl over to her while everyone screamed and someone yelled for the police to be called. I knew who did this and I would make sure they didn't get away with this. I heard the ambulance pulling up outside and heard yelling but I was slowly losing consciousness. I called out for Jada and continued to crawl her way before I saw complete black.
