"He's really making me choose isn't he?" You asked Wanda. She nodded solemnly and wouldn't meet my eyes.
"My best friend or my husband." You laughed and ran a hand down your face. Steve had asked you yesterday whether or not you had signed the accords. You hadn't and it seemed to make Steve happy, you had good reason not to anyways. Especially since by signing the accords it would mean you would not be able to help Steve look for Bucky. Tony, on the other hand had been trying to persuade you into signing. Both of you cared very much about civilian casualties and did your best to keep everyone safe. That's why you were best friends. He had mentored you and helped you learn to control your powers. Both men were extraordinary and held special places in your heart. You shook you head and laid back on Wanda's bed.

"And what did you choose?" You looked over at her, she still seemed pretty shaken from the earlier events.

"Steve. I will not let government control me. It's not right." She sighed and laid  next you.

"It's not choosing that scares me. I know what I believe...it's what will happen to whoever I don't choose." You admitted, placing your hands behind your head. She nodded and you both stayed that way for a while as you contemplated your decision.

Time skip through everything until the part where they are in Siberia or wherever

"He's my friend, Tony."

"So was I." You hear the men fighting and creep up to find Bucky on the ground with only one arm fully operational, and Steve and Tony continuously punching one another. You rushed to Bucky first helping him up.

"Y/N? What are you doing here?" He asked weakly.

"I'm here to stop my best friend and my husband from killing each other." You answered stepping back to where they were still fighting, oblivious to Bucky's absence.

"Steve!" He turned at the sound of your voice and Tony hit him square in the jaw. "Tony stop!" They momentarily stopped fighting and looked at you. You gripped the pistol tucked into your waistband and stepped towards them. "Please stop this." You pleaded.

"Y/N, you didn't see it. He killed my parents. And you have no say, you decided to remain 'neutral'." He retorted using air quotes.

"Your damn right I did! But then the two men I care most about in my entire life decided to be complete assholes and start beating each other to death! So tell me, Tony, what was I supposed to do? Let you kill each other?! No. If you don't stop I'll-" Tony cut you off.

"You'll what Y/N?! Can't you see?! There are only two sides! You have to pick! It's either me or him. Barnes killed my parents! And yet Steve still wants to help him! Your my best friend Y/N! I thought that you of all people would understand! I'm sorry, I hate to do this but if you don't choose then I'll have to choose for you!" At the tone in his voice you became angry. No one chose for you and no one told you what to do. You softened your facial expression and pulled out your gun, unloading it. You took out all of your ammo except one bullet in case things got bad. The men stared at you in shock.

"Oh Tony, isn't that the thing? Everyone always says that there are two sides in war. But that's the problem. Because you never really know who's on whose side until the first shot is fired. And more often than not that one shot ends up killing someone. And for every bullet that strikes someone down there is someone else who doesn't even know that this person, the person that they love is dead. They're gone. Why? Because they chose the wrong side? No. They died because the person who pulled the trigger was blind to the real issue. So if that's what it comes to then I will choose. And your not going to like it. I'm sorry Tony," You trailed off as tears threatened to spill down your cheeks.

"I choose Steve."

I think I'm gonna do a part two. What do you think? Please let me know!! Thanks so much!
