The Beginning

I heard a voice yelling "Hey! Are you OK. Hey! Answer me."" Uuugh" I rolled my head back as the voice continued. "What are u doing sleeping out here don't you know you could go to jail if you got caught you know we have to stay in the city". As I opened my eyes I saw a beautiful girl with dark luscious hair and a perfume that smelled like spring. Her clothes were patched and old as well as her shoes had holes in them. "Stop staring its rude" She said."and whats with the sword on your back are you looking for trouble cause if so I'm leaving" "I'm sorry but who are you". I looked around. "And where am I." The girl rolled her eyes at me."Where do you think, we're just outside of The Great City and my name is Sara Smith what's yours". I looked around before I answered."I'm Connor ... Conner Martialis but how did I get here." She looked at me like I just drooled on myself."What do u mean how did you get here, you got here so you should know, now come on before the police see that we're outside city walls." She dragged me down the hill through a small hole in a giant stone wall surrounding the city."You owe me one you should have known better than to sleep outside the city" She lectured. I look around."What is this place" I said. Sara looked like she was about to explode."What do you mean what is this place you moron its called the only safe city left in the world." I looked at her shocked."In the world what about the other cities." I said."Your such an Idiot your parents probably kept you safe from reality your whole life huh no wonder your so confused." She retorted. It was then I realized I didn't know who my parents were but it wasn't just that I didn't know who I was.
