Chapter 4

Emmah's POV

As the boys were in the Locker room, I text Kelly telling her that Jace invited Alex over to my house to hang out. She replied in less than a minute asking if I needed back up when we were alone together but I said I should be fine since Jace will be in the house with us still. When I closed my phone, the boys were just walking out of the locker room and heading towards me. "you ready to go?" Jace asked me. I just nodded my head and started walking towards the car. " wait, this is your sister, Jace?" Alex asked us confused. " uh, yeah? Why does it matter?" Jace asked in his 'protective brother voice'. "nothing I just thought you guys were dating or something and you sister was somebody else, that's all." He said quietly. Jace and me looked at each other and started busting up laughing after he said that. " You...you thought that we were dating?" I managed to say between laughing. " Ugh" Once Jace's and my laughter finally died down we got in the car calling each other endearing names just to tease Alex. Jace pulled into the drive way hence we all went inside and plopped down in the living room.

We hung out for a while just talking with each other, mostly the boys discussing who they think will make the team for baseball. Jace made some popcorn and we chowed down on that like typical teenagers would. Jace got up and announced that he had to use the restroom and then left to pee. Which left me and Alex alone together. "do you like Andy?l he randomly asked me. He caught me off guard so all I got out was an inaudible noise and a "what?". " I asked if you like Andy." He asked so nonchalantly to me. " I don't know, I've only known him for a couple days. Why do you ask?" I explain to him. " just wondering, that's all" was all he said. Jace thankfully came back in the room right after we finished talking. We just talked about nothing in particular until Alex had to leave to go home, so Jace walked him to the front door. We decided to just watch 'The Avengers' and order a pizza.

Once the movie ended was when Jace started asking me questions. " what was Alex talking to our about after I left?" He asked me. "nothing really, just asked if I liked Andy, that's all."I said quietly. "do you?" He asked me again. " like I told Alex, I'm not sure, I've only known him for a couple days. Why do you all care who i like either?" I told him. " Just wondering, you know, keeping tabs on you." He said obviously hiding something from me. "Whatever, I'm go upstairs." I walked up stairs.

Alex's POV

I walked out of the house and realized that I left my phone in the upstairs bathroom. I walk back to the front door and knock. Jace answers the door and said, "did you forget something?" . " uh, yeah, I left my phone upstairs, I'll just go grab it" I say as he lets me in. I run up stairs and see that I left it in the bathroom. Jace must-have hidden it in there. When he took it from me. The door is slightly open but the light is turned on, so I knock on the door first. I wait but I just hear some music coming from the room. I open the door and I see Emmah is singing to her music and dancing around the bathroom. She's so cute like that. I grab my phone and run downstairs, holding my phone out to Jace," found it!" I say as I open the front door. "Well bye again Jace says as he closes the door behind me. I just start walking home, but I can't stop thinking about her.
