I have created this alternate universe inspired by and based on this book, Delirium by Lauren Oliver. It's a really great book with a really original plot. To fully understand this fanfiction, I suggest you read it.

Quick Explanation: This takes place in the future. The government as categorized love as a disease (amor deliria nervosa). The Book of Shh is an important guideline that everyone should have. The United States is closed in a border. (Looks like they built a wall. Thanks, Trump.) This border is electrified to prevent anyone from coming in or out. The government has created a "cure" which takes away the risk of falling in love. Anyone who resists and is found "infected" with love, is taken to the Crypts, their version of an asylum and prison.

This cure controls your life. First, they give you an evaluation to match you up with someone. You don't pick your spouse. If you choose to pursue college, you marry your chosen person. They give you a list of compatible people and you can choose but you may not end up with your favorite out of the selected. Then they give you a procedure, which is the cure. There is a three-pronged mark above your ear to indicate that you've been cured, though this scar can be easily replicated. If the cure is done too early, fatal side effects can happen.

But, there are sympathizers and people known as Invalids. Invalids are people who resist and rebel against the government, and they live outside the borders, in the Wilds. Sympathizers are people who are allied with them and assist Invalids, but they can't be caught.

This au is a place where they ban poetry, decent music, and all sorts of things. How will Kuroko escape with you? [oneshot]
