My New Doll

Chapter 1 (Startled)

*A/N- This is the first chapter of my new book "My New Doll". I hope you enjoy it.*

It was a warm summer night when you had woken up suddenly to the sound of a crash coming from downstairs.

You cautiously got out of bed and slowly but quietly walked out of your room and into the hallway.

You stopped only to listen but carefully continued to venture downstairs and into the kitchen.

You stopped once you reached the bottom of the stairs.
It was pitch black except for the little bit of light that peered in through the window.

You looked around and continued walking until you reached the kitchen.

You looked inside before switching on the kitchen light which revealed a broken vase on the floor.

You looked up from the pile of glass to the counter in which a stuffed bunny sat.
It's colors were unusual from a normal stuffed bunny. It was half crimson red, and half tan with two medium sized black buttons as eyes, and it's mouth was completely made by careful stitching.

You stared at the bunny a bit more before walking over to the kitchen closet where you kept all of your cleaning items. You pulled out the broom and walked over to the broken glass, sweeping it up and dumping the glass pieces into the garbage before putting the broom away and closing the closet door.

You looked back over to where the bunny was sitting, and saw that it was now facing you. Small shivers ran down your spine before you sighed, walking over to the bunny picking it up, and walking out of the kitchen turning off the light.

You looked back into the kitchen one last time before walking back upstairs to your room. You stopped once you reached the top of the stairs. You felt chills run down your spine which caused you to shiver.

You swallowed the fear that was building up inside you, and decided to go back to bed. As you reached your bed you placed the bunny on your nightstand, and grabbed your covers pulling them up to your neck creating heat which caused you to fall back into a deep slumber.
