Sorry for the wait, but here it is. The first chapter in this re-write.
Hope you enjoy ^^

Lily Potter sat on one the couch in their living room, currently reading Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them with her brothers and cousins around her. Her parents and some of their uncles and aunts were all out to dinner, wanting to have some time out without having to worry about what their kids were up to. So Teddy and Victoire had volunteered to look after Lily and her brothers, Al and James, and her cousins, Hugo, Rose, Fred, and Roxanne. Hugo and his sister were sitting on the floor left to Lily playing chess ,with Hugo in the lead, and Al was sitting on the other side of the couch reading some muggle mystery book. Lily looked over at Roxanne in her armchair when she heard a stomach grumbling.

"What?, I'm really hungry ok"

"Didn't you eat a sandwich when you came over, like 3 hours ago?"

Roxanne just stuck out her tongue at Lily. She could hear Teddy and Victorie in the kitchen, starting to prepare dinner. Lily put her book down on the living room table and looked around, it had been quiet for the last hour or so, way too quiet for the Potter household. Lily looked at the table in front of her, the mirror that her parents had left them to contact in case of emergency were still there. That's when she noticed the two missing family members.

"Does anyone know where the two missing tricksters went?" she asked the room, Rose looked up from her losing chess game.

"They went upstairs, maybe an hour ago?" That explained the way to quiet house.

Just then James and Fred walked down the stairs, both with shit-eating grins.

"When you speak of the devil" Lily heard Roxanne mutter and she cracked a smile at her cousin's comment.

"We're back!"

"I know you missed us"

"Not even in your dreams" This time Roxanne said it out loud for everyone to hear. Fred put his hand over his heart and put on his most offended and hurt face.

"Oh dear sister, you wound me with your harsh words"

"Where have you the two of you even been?"Lily asked her (idiot) brother and cousin. Putting them together was never a good plan.

"Dad's office"

"You both know we're not suppose to be in there" Al commented from behind his book.

"Don't be such a spoilsport Al"

"Your brother's right" Teddy was leaning on the doorframe to the kitchen with Victoire on his side.

"You're all just such spoilsports." Fred said, sounding a bit like little kid.

"James, what do you have in your hand?" Rose asked, totally abandoning her chess game (which she'd lost anyway)

"Oh, nothing important" he answered his cousin, both hand behind his back.

"James" Victorie had her arms crossed, staring at the both of them with her you-are-going-to- tell-me-or-else-it-won't-end-happy-for-you-look

James and Fred both tried for like a minute to withstand the look but Victoire had learned from the best (her mom and grandmother). So they gave up pretty fast and James held up a shiny object hanging from a golden chain.

"What is that?" Roxanne stood up and took a step closer to get a better look at the shiny little thing. Lily was about to do the same but Teddy beat her to it and snatched the gold thing from James.

"Where did you get this?" Lily couldn't really identify his tone or his facial expression but she could find a bit of curiosity.

"Like we said, uncle Harry's office. Now, what is that thing?"

"Are you two telling us that you one, broke into dad's office and two, took something but you have no idea what it is?" Lily couldn't believe it, ok so maybe she could. They'd take everything that looked "cool".

"Got us in a box there Lils" Fred winked and Roxanne groaned.

"Is that what I think it is?" Victorie took it from Teddy and held it up by its chain. Lily could now see that it was a golden hourglass with white sand in it and had two golden circles going around it.

"Yup"

"What is it?" Now it was Hugo who asked

"It's a time turner. You can go back a few hours in time with it.

"Didn't mum used to have on of those?" Hugo asked his sister

"Yes, in her third year at Hogwarts. She used it to take more classes" Rose answered her brother.

"Hey!" James had seized the right moment when she was distracted to take back the time turner from Victorie and held it up himself.

"Give it back James!"

"Nope, mine now"

"James I'm being serious here"

"Nope, that's me. James Sirius"

"Don't think I can't call Ginny"

"Ok, ok. Hugo think fast"

The time turner was in the air before anyone could do anything, it flew to Hugo, who was to startled to even try and catch it. The time turner clattered to the floor with a crash and the white sand spread everywhere, and when all the dust had settled the only thing you could find was sand and a cracked time turner.
