Sumin's POV:

I woke up earlier than usual as I couldn't contain my excitement about the fact that I was attending school, for the very last time of this year.

"Last day of school!~" I squealed in delight as I clasped my hands, watching my reflection in the mirror.

"Have a blast, kid." Dad greeted me as he caressed my cheeks, grimacing.

"Thanks, dad. I'll see you once I get back from school. Bye."

I wish mum was here. I thought to myself as a heavy sigh escaped my lips.

Oh well... I say faintly.

With that, I left to school.

~At school.~

Students were rampaging into the main building, eager to get their classes for next year.

"Excuse me, excuse me." I mutter under my breath, as I attempted to push my way through the group of students. Nothing seemed to work. I was too small, that I got pushed around instead.

Finally, after a long time of people stampeding over my feet, I grab the door knob and just as I was about to twist it open, I feel somebody tug at the hem of my shirt.

"Sumin!" Eunji gasped, pulling me tightly into her embrace. I haven't seen Eunji for a long time. She's been out on a world tour with her mum; who is a very famous actress in Korea. I open the door, and proceed with our conversation as we enter the classroom.

"Hey, Eunji! I've missed you so much, girl! You must've been really excited for today, huh? You've been waiting all year for this day~" I say, huffing my messy fringe out of my sight.

"I missed you too, sweetheart! And yes, I sure have! I hope I get to be in the same class as Kim Taehyung..." She admitted as she cupped her cheeks with her palms.

"Taehyung? People say that he's really rich. But he's annoying because he acts like he's the King and he gets everything the way he wants." I say, nodding along to my statements.

"How do you--!" Eunji shouted, before glancing around the room, as she whispered to continue her talk.

"How do you know that?! He's so hot though, just look at his eyes.. He draws better eye lines than any other girl in this school!"

"He's just.. Not my type." I flash a sheepish grin as Eunji just rolls her eyes at me.

The morning bell goes and the corridor is finally cleared up, the students all in their classrooms and ready for the day to begin. Meanwhile in our class, our teacher Mr. Stephens hadn't arrived yet so we were all talking among ourselves, neatly sitting in our arranged seats. As the door slides open, Mr. Stephens stands in the doorway as he eyes the class suspiciously.

"Hello, hello. What's wrong with you, class? It's weird to see you actually behaving!" He snorts, as he places his documents on his table, taking a sip of his morning coffee.

"I have the classes for next year," Everybody in the class starts cheering, but pause as he begins speaking once again.

"But before that, I have the results for the Biology exam that was written last week!"

"Does Sumin have the highest grade again?" One student from the class shouts out.

"Yeah! If you're planning to compare our scores with hers, don't even start, Mr!" Another student adds in.

I glance over at the two students as I smile, each end of my mouth practically hooked onto my ears.

"Well, I'm sorry you people are dumb." I call out.

"Enough." Mr. Stephen interrupted as he chuckled softly, while he began to hand out the test results.

Kim Taehyung's POV

I walked in a slow pace to the class as I heard the first bell go. My friends greeted me as I just simply waved back at them and took an empty seat on the last row.

“Dude, apparently It’s a mix of all the seniors and juniors next year. Half of the class will be the same age as us, and the other half of them will be an older group than us.” Yechan said, as I tossed my bag on the floor.

An older group than us?... I thought as I groaned at the thought.

I sat there silently until the teacher barged in the class, watching us with his weird facial expressions.

~I tend to be quiet in class. That would explain my results. I usually zone out on the class, as well as my teacher. Who cares about school anyway?!~

As Mr. Stephens began handing out the test papers, I took out my phone and launched an app called ‘kakaotalk  and started typing in my text message.

“Does Sumin have the highest grade again?" Some girl cuts him off.

I switched my gaze immediately from my phone, to the class. Hm, who’s Sumin? I thought as I looked around once more, as I shrugged my shoulders lightly.

“Yeah! If you're planning to compare our scores with hers, don't even start, Mr!" Another somebody adds in.

I look around the classroom once again, only to spot a beautiful girl who was smiling widely, at a desk 3 rows in front of mine.

I seriously need to be concentrating in class. The only people I know in my class are Mr. Stephens and Yechan. That’s it. But who cares, right? I’m rich, I can do anything I want. A smirk grew upon my face as I imagined future scenarios in my head until somebody interrupted my thoughts.

“Here you go, Mr. Kim.” Mr. Stephen spoke as he slammed the paper down on my desk. I glared up at him as a response.

I eyed the papers on my desk, only to see a big, fat, FAIL.

Everybody else in the class shrieked and jumped up with glee while I just sat there like the biggest retard ever. Ugh, how the hell am I meant to get good grades?! He thought, pushing his ‘rich’ thoughts away.

/ Does Sumin have the highest grade again? / The thoughts pierced through his mind.

Sumin. I’ve got to get to her somehow. He thought to himself, a mischievous grin plastered on his face.
