I was quite mad that we moved. I was fifteen and had plenty of friends that I didn't want to leave. The funny thing is, all 2 of my brothers and 2 of my sisters wanted to leave, as well as my parents. Kathy, my 16 year old sister, and I was outvoted 7 to 2. So off we went.
I looked out the car window at the shabby little houses. They matched the shabby little town. It had 1 school, 1 pool, 2 grocery stores, a library, and a gas station. literally nothing else besides the houses.
"We're here!" said Mom as she stopped the car in front of a one story house. Kayden, my 5 year old brother, immediately said " can we go home?" I couldn't really blame him. The house was falling down.
"We are home," Mom said happily. "after we fix this up, it'll be even better than our house back at home!" I was soooooo excited (note the sarcasm).
We got our bags and went inside. After exploring the house, I figured out that there was 5 bedrooms. Mom told me that everybody gets to share a room except me, because I just happen to be the oldest boy and I need my space and there was actually space for me to have. Which is good, I guess. the house also had a small kitchen, a kind of large dining room, two bathrooms, and a living room. Nothing else. In our old house, we had only four bedrooms, but two extra rooms. So far I liked our old house better.
"This is it?" asked Kathy." we're are we going to put the computer?"
"there's no computer." said Mom. "the reason why we're here is to get more outdoors. It'll be fun!"
"As soon as I get wi-fi it will be" muttered Kathy.
"well, I agree with Mom." said Kayla. "We need to get outside more. It's boring inside the house all the time."
"To you it is." Kathy huffed, walking away.
I went into my room to unpack. It was small, the smallest one probably. The moving van won't be her till tomorrow, so we were sleeping on the floor tonight. I looked around the room, sighed, and muttered,"great" At the moment, all I wanted to do was go home.
