chapter 1

Effys p.o.v.

I woke up to my alram blaring in my ear. Shit.
"Effy, time to get up sweetheart." My adoptive 'mother' yelled.
"I'm up Jackie!!" I replied.
I got up and went to my unsuite. I jumped in the shower and washed my hair and shaved my legs. I got out of the shower and wrapped my fluffy towel around me. I went to sink and brushed my teeth.
I went to my room and put on my clothes(outfit at top) I dried my hair and then straightened it. I sat at my makeup desk and started putting on my face. I did a winged eyeliner with dramatic eyeshadow and put a purply red lip colour on.
I went downstairs to the kitchen and greeted the fam. My adopted 'father' Barney sat at the island counter eating cereal and of course he was suited up.(how i met your mother). At the table was Jackie and Barneys actual daughter and son. Rebecca and Nathan. Rebecca was year younger than my and Nathan was a year older. I've been with them for 2 years so since I was 14. I like them theyre the only family thats stuck with me really. The rest either didnt care or just threw me back into care.
I sat beside Barney and grabbed some orange juice. I was far too nervous to eat. My ex secret kindof boyfriend moved away last year and so did my bestfriend Aria. There were 6 of us. That is before alli you know went missing. We were inseperatable, Allison, Aria, Emily, Hannah, Spencer and I. When i was away we spoke quite alot. Aria told us stories about iceland and hannah told us about her and mona. Spencer even sounds smarter and Emilys still swimming. Everything seems normal but it's boring without alli. Alli and I were the partiers. We would go out drinking looking for boys. Stay out till the next morning. Even her family loved me especially her brother Jason. He was older than me but we didnt care we loved eachother. We kept it a secret from alli. I felt awful she told me everything. But when she went missing Jason said we couldnt be together. I agreed. He moved to get away from rosewood. I wish I went with him. All the boys ive met since Jason are nothing like him. Sure theyre hot but theyre only good for one thing if you get my drift.

I drank my orange juice and went to grab my bag.
"You need to eat something, we cant go back to this again." Barney said grabbing my wrist.
"Im not hunger im too nervous to eat. Ill get something at lunch." I replied trying to pull away.
"Effy youve been doing so well please just so i can stop worrying and know your eating, Just a slice of toast okay?" He said looking into my eyes.
"Fine." I said roughly pulling my wrist from my hand. He set the piece of toast infront of me and watched me.
"You dont have to watch me, im 16 i can eat toast by myself" I said as i took a bite. Once i finished i walked out of the kitchen and grabbed my bag and car keys. I slammed the door and got into my rangerover.

I turned the music up as far as it would go. I pulled up to Hannahs house and honked waiting for her to come.

She got into the passenger seat. She turned the music down.
"Omg!! Look at you. Your hott!!! You look really healthy too!!." She said hugging me.
"Thanks babe." I said with british accent. She laughed. "Englands done well for you! Theyre making you eat arent they?" I looked at her. "Yeah they are, theyve helped me alot, but they bring it up everytime we eat its getting annoying, what about you? still barfing up the extra calories?" i asked. "No New year new me. Im just eating healthy its better than what i was doing. My dads been trying to get in touch. Hes getting married." i looked at her shocked. "NO FREAKING WAY HOW??" "i know some woman called, wait, i forget her name its something posh i dont know,but she has a daughter our age apparently. My dad wants me to be braidsmaid!! as if!" she screamed. "youre just right id tell him to stuff his wedding the cheeky wee shit. He'll probably invite your mum." i said rolling my eyes.
"He sent an invitation but i ripped it up. No way, thatll tear my mum apart. Anyways what about lover boy heard from him??" yes hannah know only she does or who ever jason has told. "No, i really miss him though, i started talking to this though Sam you call him, hes nice we met before summer and weve been texting since he wants to go on a date tomorrow night. Hes really hot too. He has the whole messey look going on and he has the tinniest bit of stubble but its so irresistable." I gushed to her. "Go for it, you deserve a nice boy who wouldnt mess you about." "i know, looks like were here." "Heres to a shitty new school year." Hannah said as she got out.

Today was good we all met up for a catch up coffee at the brew. Im glad im back.
