***Faiths P.O.V***

I sat down again next to Jimmy.

"You know she will get revenge," Ty says.

I roll my eyes, "What's she gonna do? Scratch me with her fake nails?" They laughed.

"Okay class. I have an assignment for you," The teacher spoke, "I will be putting you into groups and you will put on a musical performance." Great.

"Please not with the populars," I kept whispering under my breath.

"Group 1, Blake, Skylar and Leo. Group 2, Jerome, Samantha and Ian."

I looked over to see Jade with a shocked and disappointed expression. She didn't get to be with her group... What if I'm not?

"Group 3, Adam, Kaity and Mitch." Lauren wasn't in her group either?

"Group 4, Rosa, Lucas and Mia. Group 5, Jimmy, Ty and Quentin."

My eyes widened... Oh no...

"And finally. Group 6, Faith, Jade and Lauren"

I heard a sound echo around the room. My eyes darted to Jade, she dropped her drumsticks. I slightly smiled but then I stopped. I had just been put in a group with Lauren. A popular.

***Jade's P.O.V***

No... I picked up my drumsticks and looked back to Jerome, Samantha and Ian. They all gave me slightly sympathetic looks. Why!? I sighed... It'll be fine, I don't take any of the populars crap so why would I start now?

"Everyone get into your groups. Decide on a song to perform and you will then perform them in the school concert in one month"

She clapped her hands together and signalled for us to do as she told us. I stayed firmly in my seat at the drum kit. I caught a glance from Faith and motioned for her to come over. She waved to her group and made her way towards me.

"Hey Faith... I guess we're working together"

"Yeah..." She glanced to Lauren and then back to me "...Fun, right?"

She looked worried. The populars gave her group the most trouble... Because they were considered 'The Nerds'. I don't know what my group would be... But we just do whatever and don't care what anyone says. We're normally the ones getting trouble.

It was an unwritten rule that cliques/groups couldn't mix but I still talk to some others... The nice ones.

Lauren walked over to us. Faith grabbed a chair and sat next to the drum kit with her guitar,

"Where am I meant to sit?" Lauren made it seem like we were meant to get a chair for her,

"Get a chair. Sit on it. Done deal" I replied.

It was silent for a second and then I heard a chair scrape along the floor. She didn't retort, she didn't make any rude remarks... That's weird for a popular.

"So..." Lauren broke the silence "Got any song ideas?"

She sounded chirpy and happy... It's probably some fakeness to make me and Faith feel comfortable around her... But I'm not trusting her just yet.

***Lauren's P.O.V***

"And finally. Group 6, Faith, Jade and Lauren"

My eyes widened. My jaw dropped open. I heard Kate snigger to the right of me. I couldn't believe it!

Everyone had been put into their friendship groups, whilst I was stuck with... Whatever Jade was and the nerd. Could my life be any worse right now?
