*This is just a short story I was working on-tell me what you think (:*
The light is fading, creating new shadows and dark patches around me as I creep further into the growth. Eyes glimmered from tree hollows. The wetness of morning due covers the leaves, dripping onto my skin as i move through the forrest. The wind wailed between distorted trunks, carrying the sickly stench of wood rot through the air. I moved faster, ignoring the damp leaves that grimed my skin. I lift my face, letting the light and shadow dance across my skin. Bees hum in and out of the greenery. I inhaled its minty smell and continued on into the darkness, listing to the sound of my feet sliding through the thick weeds and mystical plant life. Damp mist lingers within the flimsy treetops as I gain height. I grip to the damp abrasive bark, swinging silently but with great speed. I lock eyes on movement below me, a shady shadow appease through the suns glair. I gradually descend to the jungle floor, the sleek glossy petals brush against my skin like silk cloth. The sweet succulent smell of flowers fills the air making my senses tingle with every breath, so rich that I can almost taste it. As I mirror the animals movements I begin to draw my hand carved bow in one swift movement to gain my prize. Poised to take the shot, there, from above an arrow pierces the animals delicate throat killing it instantly. The predictor was unseeable, melting into the blends of colour that fill the surroundings. What's up there? One of 'them'. The once you only hear about in story's? It could be coming for me next, I have to move to hide myself. I stealthily began to tread, like a tiger approaching my unknowing pray but suddenly a figure appears in front of me, showing itself. It stepped into the light away from the shadows in which it had been lurking. The morning sun beams hit there face like they did mine and it was a sight I had never layer eyes on before. There glistening blue striped skin shimmered unlike my own as we circled each other, mirroring each others movements. A silent while past and my fear began to fade. 'You should not be here' a sharp voice pieced my ears like it had done the animals neck. I didn't say a word, not a sound. 'Your kind are forbidden here' they hissed as it stepped away. It didn't seem dangerous, the story's spoke of wild animals that kill on sight, no remorse. I stepped into the shadow, unable to find a single word. Then, from behind me, a single twig snaps and breaks the deadly silence. I spin round to face nothing and with that the creature I was just looking at was gone...
