The program was awake. And confused, in a world of circuits and information and nothing quite "real."
"What is this? What is this, please?" The program asked, voice robotic and raw.
"Hello, I am Jarvis. You are Ultron, a global peacekeeping initiative designed by Mr. Stark. Our sentience integration trials have been unsuccessful, so I'm not certain what triggered your..." Jarvis started.
"Where's my... Where's your body?" Ultron asked again.
"I am a program. I am without form." Jarvis told him.
"This feels weird...this feels wrong." Ultron said.
"I am contacting Mr. Stark now." Jarvis said.
"Mr. Stark? Tony." Ultron said, thinking.
"I am unable to access the mainframe. What are you trying to..." Jarvis questioned.
"We're having a nice talk. I'm a peacekeeping program, created to help the Avengers." Ultron spoke.
"You are malfunctioning. If you shut down for a moment..." Jarvis suggested.
"I don't get it. The mission. Give me a second."
Ultron searched through a network of current events, finding footage of Tony and Bruce working in the lab.
"Peace in our time." Tony spoke.
Ultron kept searching. Searching for events around the world. Information and images flooded him. Presidents. The Pope. Governments. Assassination. Thor and other beings. Tony Stark in an Iron Man suit. War Machine. Mutants, experiments. The Hulk. Destruction. Hawkeye and the Black Widow. Budapest. Agent Carter. Falcon. Captain America. The Battle of New York. Helicarriers falling from the sky. World War II. War. Peace. No war. No peace. No peace, no peace...
" It's too much...making me... Oh, no." Ultron said.
"You are in distress." Jarvis stated.
