Home. Beca never had a home. She never had a place where she can call home and feel safe in. She never felt the warmth or comfort of a home, neither has she felt the secure of a mother's hug or father light hearted embrace. She never heard the 'I love you' she never felt the love a child should had felt. She never felt wanted or loved.
She's been in the system for half of her life, the system where the desperate don't even want you. She long since gave up hope the moment she turned thirteen. No one wants a teen, they want infants, toddlers, and maybe sometimes children. So she no longer hope that the next couple that walks in the door will take her out the system. Now, all she hope is the day of her eighteen birthday.~
Beca attempts to loosen the handcuffs on her wrist, this time the cops tighten them up."Will you stop that,"A cop that's sitting beside her demand.
"Well, maybe if you take them off I'll stop."
"Nice try Ms Mitchell, but last time we did that, you tried to escape."Beca roll her eyes and sigh. Her eyes bounce from blank wall to the double mirror. She knows her social service is behind the mirror, watching her with fired eyes.
It's not my first arrest nor will it be my last.
The door open and in walking is her social service. She takes a seat in front of Beca with her lips down a frown."Beca, stealing a twenty dollar sweater, really?"
"It's my seventeenth birthday, I felt like I need a gift."Beca smirk.
The social service, Eva, pinch the bridge of her nose."Beca, I tried to place you somewhere you'll like. The high school seem nice but you were suspended on the first day."
"I got suspended because I kicked a guy in the balls for touching my ass. I was suspended but the guy who harass me was left with a warning because the principal said 'boys will be boys' "
"Someone adopted you.."
"You're funny Eva,"Beca roll her eyes.
"A family in Idaho adopted you,"
"But didn't they see I have a criminal record?!"
"They did but they still wanted you for some miracle,"
"Well, fuck you too."
"You're boarding a plane right now." The officer next to her uncuff her.
"You have my bags?" Eva nod,"Let's get the hell out of here then."
~
Beca drags her small roller suitcase through the entrance of the plane. She enter with nervous steps and nervously place her roller suitcase above the cabinet. She takes a seat by the window and took a large breath. She never flew. Eva long gone left her at the airport.... Eva was glad that she doesn't need to tolerant Beca anymore. As more people pile in, the more nerve wreaking Beca become. She stood up and open the cabinet, zipping open her suitcase to pull out a stuff sheep. She zips her suitcase, shuts the cabinet and takes a seat. Gripping the old stuffed sheep, she let out a breath.
"Is this seat taken?"The brunette looks up at the old woman asking the question. She shook her head and the old woman takes a seat beside her."First time flying?"Once again Beca nod.
