Author's Note:
Alright, I've been in love with Mayoiga recently, and being the yaoi shipper I am, I can't stop thinking about Mitsumune and Hayato.😱😱😱 Sorry not sorry. Here's a oneshot about them before they left for The Lost Village...
Mitsumune POV:
"You still wanted to talk, right?" My best friend asked.
"Ye-yeah." I responded, a bit nervous about breaking the news to him that i'm going to be leaving forever, leaving to The Lost Village. We've talked about it before, and he always showed interest, but I don't think he'll approve of me going on the shady tour... We walked into the quiet house, heading towards Hayato's room. Their family was pretty well off, not too rich, not too poor. His room had that same navy blue bed, grey carpeting, and black wallpaper that I was used to. It was very clean, well put together, but almost felt like it was missing something. Hayato pulled a soft, white chair up to the bed for me, and we both sat down.
"So what did you want to talk about?" He asked, leaning back on the palms of his hands.
"I'll just go ahead and say it..."
"I'm listening."
"Do you remember The Lost Village?" He perked up at the mention of that mystery.
"Of course."
"Well, next weekend I'm participating in one of their tours."
"Tokimune! What are you talking about!? You have a great life, why just throw it away like that!?" I sighed at the mention of my false name.
"I'm sorry Hayato, you just wouldn't understand what-" He gripped my shoulders, lifting me out of the comfortable chair.
"Help me understand! I want to know everything about you, and I want you to know everything about me! I-" he stopped himself and sat back down on the bed. I saw tears start to fall from his beautiful blue eyes, and it made mine begin to water, too.
"Do you hate me or something?" He asked, voice cracking, avoiding eye contact.
"Of course not! I just, I need this! I know it's selfish, but I can't live this life anymore, Hayato!" Hayato looked away, still teary-eyed. I could tell he was making a decision.
"Fine, go. But I'm going with you."
"But, why?"
"I'll prove that it's a fraud, then convince you to come back to your regular life with me."
I chuckled. "Why am I not surprised?"
"It's only fair. I did promise I'd protect you, right?" He said with an earnest smile, a tinge of pink planted on his cheeks.
"True. Well, it's getting late, my mom is probably getting worried."
"She'll be even more worried next weekend..." He lightheartedly joked. "I'll see you out."
"Sounds good." We lazily trudged through the house, as if we didn't want to leave. I had always thought of Hayato as the closest person to me, after all, he cares so much for some reason. He's not using me to cope like my mom is. I wish I could tell him about my brother, how my real name is Mitsumune. I want someone to call me that, again. I want to hear him call me that.
"Well, I'll see you at school!" I called back as I began walking down his crooked sidewalk back to my own home. Or at least I started walking back.
"I'm here." Hayato announced as he grasped my wrist lightly, careful not to hurt me this time. He pulled me around, so I was faceing him, and led his lips to mine. I was shocked when they first met, but it was pleasant, warm, and loving. It calmed my thoughts, and consoled my hurting heart. Even though he didn't know the true me yet, the kiss made me feel like he did. It showed that he wanted to know. So for the last few seconds of the incident, I shut my eyes and kissed back. It was a good feeling.
"I'm here... And you're here, too. I want it to stay that way."
"I'm not going anywhere- at least not without you." I replied as if nothing happened, even though we were probably both bright red, i could see Hayato was. I then continued walking home, waving nonchalantly goodbye.
After all, this wasn't the first incident we've had... But it was the first I apprectiated.
