A/N: When I write the chapter POV in italics I imagine it sounding like a faraway whisper. Proceed.

*Perrie's POV again*

I sat on the cot in the Baby Inspector's office with my legs crossed. They were shaking and I tried to soothe them with my hand, but my hand did absolutely nothing.

"Hey, calm down." Zayn said softly, standing in front of me.

"I'm nervous. I don't know what I want the answer to be." I admitted, biting on my thumb nail.

"Well whether it's a yes or a no," Zayn said, planting a quick kiss on my lips. "I will love you just as much.

I smiled just as the Baby Inspector came out of the back room with my files. He opened his mouth to speak, but I spoke first.

"Am I pregnant?" I blurted, anxious to know. Zayn shot me a 'Seriously?' look as the Baby Inspector chuckled.

"Well, according to the results you most certainly are expecting. Congrats!" The Baby Inspector said, nodding the whole time.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in relief. I stole a glance at Zayn, who was grinning so wide it looked like his face was about to break.

I felt deep down inside I wanted it to be a yes. I loved kids, and knew Zayn and I would have some someday, so sooner than never.

"Now, grown up talk." The Baby Inspector said, getting serious. I sat up straight with my hands on my laps and Zayn stopped smiling.

"My name is Dr. Robinson, and I will be your doctor throughout your pregnancy." The Baby Inspector starts. Zayn and I shared a sarcastic look; his name to us was Baby Inspector.

He continues, "As by seeing your occupations, I assume you two are financially stable, which is important in having a child. What I'm concerned about is your ages; early 20's. If you feel that you two are capable of caring for a child seeing both your occupations and ages, wonderful. If you don't, then adoption is always an option."

I look at Zayn to see maybe if he's looking at me, but he doesn't. He looks the Baby Inspector straight in the eyes and says, "Oh no, we are definitely keeping the child."

My heart fluttered when he said that. Zayn really wanted to have a child with me. He really wanted to be a father. My first thought when I found out I was pregnant was that Zayn would leave me. Clearly, that wasn't the case.

The Baby Inspector smiled gently. "Very well."

He talked some more crap about being pregnant and that the next nine months of my life were going to suck, but I was barely paying attention. The shock of actually being pregnant was still floating around in my mind.

"So the next time I see you is written here," Baby Inspector said, giving me a slip a paper with a date on it.

"And here are some pamphlets about pregnancy and babies and such. If you have any more questions, feel free to give me a ring or simply find it online." He handed me a pile of pamphlets and I saluted him off.

"Well, Baby Inspector was nice." I said to Zayn as we were leaving the hospital, looking down at the pamphlets in my hand. I was going to read all these, definitely.

Zayn chuckled, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and kissing my temple.

"You're so cute," He smiles.

I look up from the pamphlets and at his face. "You're really happy about this, huh?''

"Why wouldn't I be?'' He asked as we reached our car in the parking lot. I climbed inside the passenger seat, taking my phone out of my pocket in the process.

"I'm going to call Modest real quick." I said and Zayn nodded.

I brought my legs up on the seat and sat crisscross with the pamphlets in my lap, looking for the Modest Headquarters number in my phone. The lady at the desk redirected me to our main manager.

"Mark!" I greeted.

"Who is this?'' Mark asked.

"Perrie? From Little Mix?''

"Perrie!" I laughed.

"Zayn and I have news for you," I said.

"Oh? Do tell." Mark was such a sarcastic and cold old man, yet we still loved him.

"I'm pregnant!" I announced.

"Congrats!" The sarcasm was bitter in his voice.

"I'm glad you're happy," I joke.

"Dearest Perrie, as you are happy I am busy. I'm so glad you stopped to tell me that you are harbouring a fetus now I do wish you the best of luck, but right now I'm in the middle of firing some interns. G'day and send my regards to Zayn." And he hung up.

My calls with Mark were always pretty interesting.
