:Jack Von doff:

VAll is festive and happy after the

assassination of Bin Laden, morale is at

an all-time high. Little did we know

that tensions in the Middle East

(Pakistan,Israel Iraq,Iran,Libya) were

all but eased. The US played the

role of puppeteer, pulling all the

strings and causing harsh feeling towards

all of us Americans.

I have traveled  to the epicenter of all the struggles,

right here in the United States of

America. Being a foreigner myself,

many people tend to be uneasy around

me for my people, the Libyans, are a

target for most common Americans.

They look upon us, at me, a human

being, as an animal, a savage.

I enter the White House to

address the United States President.

I enter the room. I can feel their beady little eyes

watching my every move.

"The meeting is called to order. All rise and

stand for the Pledge of Allegiance" says

the board member seated at the right

hand of the President. As the Pledge

began, I noticed that the Pledge was

different from when I was in my

collage assimilation classes. They

seemed to remove all traces of God, and

it went something like this: "I pledge

allegiance to the flag of the United

States of America and to the

dictatorship for which it stands,

one nation under the great and

powerful James lasonet, divided with

power and glory for all." The meeting

quickly began .

"We have run into some

temporary issues with the Libyan

people, and we wish to inform you that

if the raids of our caravans, the

murder and rape of our soldiers

doesn't stop, we will be forced to

retaliate, causing the eradication or

genocide of the Libyan people".

 My face dropped. Annihilation

of my people for the acts of so few

rebels! The arguing began as I remain

completely silent still in shock at what

I heard. The congressman spoke.

"As we all know, there is a time and place

for everything, and now is not the time

to be at each others throats arguing".

The president seemed to be

interested in what the congressman

had to say, the man continued to

speak with the entire board room at

the edge of there seat listening, hoping he

wouldn't dare say for it was on all of

their mind all except mine. of course.

"The solution is simple lets just bomb

them before they bomb us."

The room  grew ever so silent.

"All in favor say I."

The whole room said in unison "I"
