"Whatcha need?" He said as his hands found his way to his pockets.
"I really don't know. I mean I just was lonely and needed someone. I don't know why i thought of you but, sorry to waste your time." I said and looked down.
"No you're fine." He said and lifted my head up.
Later we sat on a bench and he told me to give him a poem,
"Well, I can't think of anything right now." I said.
"Think." He whispered.
"The night is dark, the dogs bark, I laid myself to sleep, hoping to go somewhere deep." I spat out.
"That made no sense." I said and laughed.
"That was very deep." He said and smiled that smile that everyone loved.
"Yeah."
"Do you self harm?" He said.
"No. But even if I did, why would I tell you?" I lied thinking of the time when I was younger, making my scars hurt sending my hand onto them.
"I just was wondering."
"Well.. I better get home." I said and stood up.
"Night Chloe."
"Night Jack" I said and headed home.

"Ok so here's the subject I chose to write about. It's a regular poem but it's something." I said and slid the paper to Jack.
"Wind howls as she lay awake, asking for God her soul to take. Her dreams were crushed, like the love which was rushed." He read a loud.
"Your poems are deep." He said and stared at me with those eyes that could melt a girl. I quickly looked away, too scared to meet his eyes.
"Everything ok?" He asked as I nodded my head.
"Ok. Well here's my poem." He said and showed me the paper.
"Saturday night football game. The sons a mistake, what a shame. He lays in bed and dreams of it, but he can't seem to stop crying, not even for a little bit." I read a loud.
"It's got some deep meaning to it." I said and nodded my head.
He smiled that million dollar smile, which made me smile, and look away, afraid I was blushing. I looked back at him only to find him looking at his paper. eyes full of sadness and pain "Jack, is everything okay?" he looked at me hiding all the pain
"yeah I'm fine"
