hm...?

*buzz*

I quickly checked my phone it said Monday 7:05, morning alarm. I quickly got up and I was back on Earth with my pj on. I dashed to the changing room and quickly dressed up, tied my hair, toasted one piece of bread, and packed my things. When the bread was done, it was 7:11. I only had 4 minutes left! Kanna and Minami are going to kill me! They are waiting downstairs at the entrance with the car ready to drive.

“Sorry!!! I came as fast as I could.” I was running out of breath, until somebody covered my eyes.

“Hello sleepy head!” said a voice that sounded familiar.

I instantly knew who he was and replied, “Hi Seaweed-head. Long time, no see.”

“Did you get shorter of did I grew taller?”  I really got pissed at that. When we were like five, I would be the tallest one among the three of us. I reached into my bag and pulled out a metal ruler to hit him on his hand. I turned to see his face but he wasn’t alone.

“Ouch! Would you stop doing that to me?” he said holding his hand painfully.

“I always bring one just in case.” I said smiling at him.

“Hi Nao!” said a boy. He was Sky. I saw him in a picture with Kanna on her laptop.

Then another boy came and said, “You’re going to be late for school.”

“Kei! Fredric! Sky! We’re 5 minutes late!” said Kanna.

“Hey! Where is Minami?” I turned my head and saw her in the car, sitting down and studying.

“Do we have a test today?” I asked.

“Don’t tell me you forgot! Today is Exam Week!” said Kanna dragging me into the car.

I totally forgot about the exam. Then when I rode the car, I felt something around my neck. It was the necklace.

When we arrived, there was a group of people crowding into one place. It was “the” most popular girl in my school. Her name is Emily. Only her best friends can call Emi. I heard that she is a good singer but I know that she doesn’t like to play the viola even though she is learning.

“You! Nao! Come here!” she demanded.

“What?” I said, feeling irritated and lazy.

“It’s a bet! If I win, you shall have to serve me for one full week. And if you win, I shall buy you a drink all you want Rich People only ticket. Ok?” she said.

And her bets are unfair.

“I’ll pass. Your bet is worthless.” I said.

“What did you say? How about I’ll get you anything?” said Emily.
