Prologue
His eyes bore into mine, the emerald green twinkling as he bends over a small smile on his lips. My heart began to beat in anticipation, knowing what was about to happen. I leaned in closer. "Dameon!" someone shouts down the deserted hallway. The sound of running follows. We both freeze and look up, the moment now lost. I fist my hands in my gown. It was her. She had reached us now. A sexy smile slowly crossed her face, but her eyes I will never forget. Hard, victorious and triumphant. She grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling Dameon on her lips in a kiss. The surprise on his face vanished and he began to kiss back. I was gone. I was running, a silver blur to anyone that saw me run into the night. She had won.
