At the end of the school day mum is waiting to pick us up. The drive home is not at all silent. Everyone talks about how I will surely be this year's team captain. Ariel and Grayson can't seem to stop taking about that 'amazing goal' of mine.
-He did great scores, the place is totally his.
says Ariel.
The results will be out tomorrow and the anticipation is driving me insane. Deep down I feel it will indeed be me but I'm afraid that if it turns out that I'm not I will lose it. So low hopes just so I don't die out of disappointment if I doesn't happen.
When we get home everyone gets out of the car and sits at the kitchen table. Standard seats as always. Mum soon fills our plates with food and sits her herself at the table. We all eat in silence,it was quite a day after all.

-Thank you honey. I'm glad you like it. My mum replies with a smile
-Well, as much as I'd like to sit here and be spoiled as always I have to go. I have practice in a while. See you all later.
-Don't I get a goodbye kiss babe?
I ask her while she gets her stuff.
-Of course you do baby.
She softly kisses me on the lips and then hugs me.
-Are you sure you don't want me to drive you there?
My mum asks
-No, but thanks Lisa. I want to walk a little.
-Okay, honey. If you need a ride home though feel free to give me a call. It will be late so it will be better if I picked you up.
-We'll talk then. Thanks for the offer. Bye guys!
-I will be upstairs!
I yell by the time I close the door. I grab my bag and walk up to my room. Door closed, bag on the floor. Let's call it a day, I can't seem to keep my eyes open. Before I realize it I'm asleep.
