Chapter 1

Annalise

Hi, my name is Annalise Hyde. I am 18 years old and just graduated from high-school. You probably think this is about some high-school girl who finds her one and only true love in high-school. Nope, this is totally the opposite. See when we graduate we are given an unlimited suppy of money, stupid right? Not really, we get all this money so that we can travel the world in hopes of finding our other half, or Soulmate as I like to call it. See, when we are born we are given a necklace and on our special necklace is half of a charm. There is one other person in the whole world that has the other half of your charm. So his is me traveling the world to find my insignificant other.

I constantly catch myself thinking of what he might be like. Is he nice or plain mean? Is he handsome or ugly? Is he tall or short? We will never know until we find our Soulmate.

See, the thing we learned about our mecklaces is that there is one flaw in them. The closer we get to our other half the necklace gets warmer. And the further we get the necklace is colder. People travel in many, many direction far away from their own families to find their Soulmate. I can't complain 'cause I'm just like them, I haven't seen my family in about 3 months after I finally got out of that hell hole called high-school. Do I miss my family? Most definitely, but I am too concerned about finding him. Mom told me it was okay if I left to find him 'cause she did the same thing when she was a teen. I mean, I can't blame her. If finding the one person that you are supposed to live with the rest of you life means not seeing you're family for a little while, then I can deal with that.
