Chapter 3
Mia’s Point Of View.
Lunch- my relaxing time on a school day. I sit with my friends, eat something tasty and look at Brian, that means perfection.
I take a look at what we have in the menu today, and chose a salad with tomatoes and a healthy sandwich. You can consider me one of those skinny bitches that count their calories, but trust me if I could, I would eat everything that is un-healthy in this cafeteria. But I gain weight easily, so knowing that I am too lazy to exercise, I try to maintain myself.
Saying hi to a lot of familiar faces I don’t really know the name of, I spotted Peter at the ‘athletic’ guys table. It is really surprising, considering that he is always hanging out at our table. He just loves gossiping with us.
Joking, he is not feminine.
Actually he loves being near my dumb friend Ashley, only they are not the dating type and can’t figure out that they are perfect for each other. I tried to help them to get on the right way, but you never get in people’s relationship, you end up bad after.
I was about to ask Peter why isn’t he sitting with us, but the view I have at my table helped me clear things out.
Oh Ashley, I am going to shave your precious hair off your head and lie to you about my non caloric cookies, that have more caloric than an ‘In-and-out-burger’. You know why?
She was there, flirting with our new school’s Casanova, Blake. It wouldn’t be a problem to me that she is flirting with a guy, but I told her I don’t support this person and she makes me eat at the same table with him. If I have daily lunch with him, people will think that I am bulimic.
Taking in a deep breath I moved towards my lunch sit.
“Mi, I am so glad you finally have joined us. Blake was telling me about how he won a street fight,” Ashley seems beyond happy and enthusiastic. Blake is just sitting, his face expression was a careless jerk face on, with a smirk that tells ‘I am so cool’ or something like that, and his arm placed on Ashley’s waist. I have no idea what he thought my reaction is going to be; Bragging about a street fight is stupid. Considering that I am not one of those girls that fall on the knees and do a blow job because the guy thinks he is a hero, I decide to shut him up.
“Only idiots do street fights.”
“Mia, be nice. He was fighting against 3 big dudes, all on his own.” Ashley is making some weird faces. You know the ones she is trying to say me to be nice, and not ruin her chance to get the hottest boy in the school, knowing how Ash cares about her reputation, she does realize that having Blake will give her some rate.
It’s strange how a guy had just came in this school, and he is already the most wanted. It’s not only about being hot people!
Rolling my eyes and chosing to ignore I looked at Brian’s table, being really disappointed that he is not there. Not only I have to stay with the mistake of the nature at the same table, because my friend’s hormones started to burn, but I couldn’t look at the person I am thinking about all day.
Speaking about hormones, these two were now having each other’s tongues in their throats with me sitting awkwardly near. That is the moment when you realize you are the third wheel and you just have to go. Only I couldn’t go without saying anything.
“Ashley, I do not recommend you to exchange germs with this person, but it’s your choice,” I give Blake a disgusted look, as his face had some spots of red lipstick, and turned around to mind my own business.
