Going to school is always a struggle for me. I mean, who actually likes school. It's just seven hours of embarrassment in my case. I hated school, ever since that one day in seventh grade. Just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. I'm going into ninth grade, at a new high school, where nobody knows me. That sucks...you would think, but not for me. This means new friends. People who don't know of my past and don't know about my embarrassing stories.
"Lily come on your gonna miss the bus!" My mom yelled from the kitchen downstairs.
"I'm coming! Just packing my bag up." As I ran downstairs I went over my schedule and the school map. I was prepared to not get lost today. Not paying attention when running downstairs isn't really smart. How was I supposed to know my brothers toy train was on the bottom step.
"Woah Lily, slow down" my mom said as she whipped the train out from under my feet.
"We don't need to start the first day of school with a broken leg." I heard the bus honk from outside. I kissed my mom on the cheek, grabbed my stuff, and ran out the door. I was walking to the back of the bus when I heard the doors close. Oh no, I thought. Usually when the doors shut that means you better sit down because we're moving. I looked in front of me. Could I get to the seat in the back in time? It was only three rows away, or do I sit down in the middle of the bus. I decided to go for the seat in the back. Wrong choice! As I stepped forward the bus started to move, causing me to fall backwards, on my butt, for everyone to see. Laughing. That's all I heard. I stood up and sat down quickly. These people won't even be in your classes anyway...and lots of people wipe out on the bus. Right??
