Joey and Scott jumped into the river. They swam across. What seemed like hours later, they reached America. Scott really did feel bad for breaking the law. Joey didn't mind breaking rules, or laws! They heard a gunshot. Pow! "Run Joey, run!" Scott screamed. "No! I can't leave you alone Scott!" she yelled back. "Please Joey! Run! Now!" Joey ran. Pow! Scott dropped to the ground. "Scott!" screamed Joey. Joey ran over to Scott. She dropped to her knees. "Look what you did, you idiots!" Joey screamed to the people with guns. "Scott, Scott? Scott, can you hear me? Scott!" Joey cried. Tears poured down Joey's face. She couldn't believe it. It can't be true, Scott isn't dead, is he? "Scott. Oh, Scott. Please don't be dead!" Scott slowly opened his eyes. "Yes Joey?" he said. "Scott!" Joey exclaimed. "You're alive!" They both stood up. "I love you, Joey." Scott said. "I love you too." Joey said back. They held hands, then, they kissed.
