"Ready or not here I come!!" Shouts a squealing voice not far from here
You giggle and hide behind a tree. You can hear the crunches of the leaves under Dylan's big feet coming closer u hold your breath
"Gotcha!" Dylan lunges but you step out of the way and he falls you laugh
"No fair you're cheating Y/N!"
"I'm not!" You said

" i'll give you half of my sanwich if you say I'm not"
"Okay you're not cheating" responded Dylan with a toothy grin
Both you and Dylan are best friends since preschool and now you were both eight years old.
"Dylan! Y/N! The cookies are ready!" Called you're mom from the house

"Yummy!" he shouted you wrapped your arm around his shoulder and he did the same you walked in the same rhythm.
"Hey Dylan?"
"Yeah?" He responded
"How long are we going to be best friends?"
Dylan stopped to look at you at stared at your big E/C eyes.
"Until the end of forever" he smiled and swished his brown matted hair out of his eyes
You smiled back and he yelled
"Last one to the house is a rotten egg!!" And took off running
"Hey!" You announced and ran right after him
