For more than a hundred years, the Middle East has been ravaged by sword and fire as Crusader and Saracen battle for control of the Holy Land. Tensions are rife and the uneasy truce that has existed since Dayfa Khatun's birth is about to be shattered. To save the Empire, she must delve into its bloody past, unearth the treachery, secrets and ancient magic buried in its sands; trace the history of their greatest and most mysterious Sultan - Salah-ad-Din himself.
