Dylan's P.O.V:

My head hits the pillow after a long last day of summer and i instantly fall into a deep deep sleep

****

We walk together holding hands. He turns to face me, chestnut hair and grey eyes staring into mine which are a brilliant red. He pulls me close and puts his right hand on my cheek while his left hand wraps itself around my waist. We both lean in and I suddenly pull away, when he nature surrounding us attracts my attention. He turns my gaze back to him. Our lips connect and an intense feeling rushes through me. Everything becomes blurry. Him, the trees......everything. And then....and then...

****

I wake up startled by my own scream.

"Dyl, it was just a dream. It was just a dream Dylan. Relax" I say trying to calm myself.

I trudge over to the bathroom wash my face and look into the mirror... this is followed by another ear-piercing scream.

"OMG!! Mom! Mom!" I scream terrified

The dream I had. It is so real now. My before brown eyes are now the same shade of red they were in my dream. And all of a sudden I feel a burning on the left side of my chest.

Krystal's P.O.V

I walk into the bathroom to see my sister staring at her chest.

"Dylan Ashton Hart! What is wrong with.....woah! What is that?" I say pointing at the mark on her chest that is now glowing.

"See what I mean? I don't even know myself" she says looking genuinely concerned as well as upset and scared.

"Dylan sweetie, you've been screaming from the time you woke up. What's wrong dear?" asks our mother Olivia.

"This is what's wrong!" snaps Dylan pointing at her entire body seeming quite annoyed.

"Oh." Says mom seeming guilty. " It's time I tell you"

"Tell me what?" Dylan sputters out

"Come, sit" she says in the same tone, guiding Dylan towards her bed to sit.

"I'm waiting" she says rather impatiently for an explanation.

Apparently, my mother, Dyl and a few other select people are part of this thing called the "Mulinga" which is made of up mind readers, physics...... basically a whole lot of people who can do inhumane things. The different group are called clans and they each have a distinct eye colour. Their clan, apparently are the physics. Mom says that the can recollect past events and predict the future. Their eye colour is a brilliant red as I can tell by Dylan's eyes.

Olivia's P.O.V

"The 'M' mark on your chest is called a Mora and it is how we Mulinga people distinguish one another" I say as I show my two daughters my identical mark. "It cannot be seen clearly by other people unless its glowing. Even then it is still blurry. Only Mulinga can see it with/without. Our clan is called the 'indigo'.

"That explains why I'm here squinting like crazy" says Krystal.

"The leader of the Mulinga is called the Elo." I continue. "Each person has their own "conscience" you could call it which is called a viole" I continue on. My daughter looks confused.

"Tell you what Dylan. You go ahead to school and this evening I'll finish telling you, OK?" My hand falls on her shoulder. "it's OK Dyl. You'll be fine"

"OK. But mom?"

"Yes Dear?"

"You're forgetting something" she says pointing at her eyes"

" Oh yes. Hold on" I say excitedly and hurriedly leave the room. I leave to for some contact lens.

Dylan's P.O.V

My mother returns with a box in her hand.

"What is that?" says my quite concerned voice.

"Relax you big baby" says Krystal butting in.

I throw an absolutely nasty look her way. She puts on an innocent face and points at her invisible halo. I roll my eyes

"These are contacts. Until you learn to control your eyes changing colour, you must wear these" mum says with her arm outstretched trying to regain my attention.

I take the contacts and struggle to take them out of the box.

"So obviously you can  control yours, I see." I say attempting to put them in.

"Yes. I sure can. Demonstration?" she asks with a smirk

"Sure. Go right ahead"

I watch on amazed as my mother changes her eye colour from Chestnut brown to the same shade as mine, and morph back.

"Wow!" I say in awe. "Now that is cool. How long till I can do that?" I ask still amazed.

" I don't know" she shrugs. "Months, years. All depends."

"Oh, I see. How long did it take for you?" is my response as I finally get in the first contact.

"About 6 months."

"OK." I say and turn around to see my mother picking out clothes for me.

"What are you doing?!"I exclaim with the other contact in  my hand. "I can pick out my clothes" I say surprised.

"I know......my little girl is all grown up." she says through a smile and teary eyes.

I catch a glance of Krystal's eye roll before she grabs her towel leaves to go and shower. I ignore her and turn back to my mother.

"Yip! Now go! Let me get ready! Go! Go!" I say playfully pushing her out of my room, while laughing.

"OK. You're walking to school?" she asks peeping through the cracked door.

"Yh. With the guys. Either that or Kevin's dropping us all to school.

"OK" she says and finally leaves
