"Violet, you're not going to that party tonight!" mum shouted. "I'm not gonna let you get abducted—or dead!" "Mum, you know I'm not that kind of girl, and, I have Autumn to keep me out of trouble." Autumn wouldn't actually keep me out of trouble. She's my best friend, so I am allowed to say that she'd have sex with anyone if she got tipsy enough. "Well then, you can hang out with Autumn instead of the party." "I will."
Yeah, no. I was going to that party, and Autumn was going to help me get there. We had a text conversation to plan everything out:Me: help!! Mum won't let me go tonight! I'm screwed!
Autumn: Don't worry. We'll set up a fake phone call on speaker so your mum thinks your coming to my house tonite.I walked into the kitchen where my mum was heating up vegan pizza and called Autumn. "Hey Autumn, I can't go to the party tonight. You'll have to go without me." "Don't worry, I can't go either. How about you come here instead?" "Sounds good!" I hung up.
Mum bought it and later, Autumn came over to drive me to the party. I told myself I wasn't gonna get drunk, but I lost it. I wanted to have fun. The only thing I remember from that night was being grabbed and pulled out of the party.
