A/N: For the sake of the oneshot here, let's pretend that Percy and Annabeth can use cellphones, ok? I don't want 20 comments being like, 'they can't use phones!' Just go with it, ok guys? Thanks. <3

I pull out my phone and dial Annabeth's number.

She picks up almost immediately.

"Hey Percy! How's it going?"

"Not too bad." I reply. "Just wanted to see how you were doing. How's your day going?"

"Great, actually. My boss just selected my design for the building project that we're going to be starting in a few weeks."

"That's great!" I say, a smile growing on my face.

"Yeah, it's pretty cool. We'll celebrate later tonight. How are things with you?" She asks.

"Nothing big. Not too much going on. I miss you."

She laughs. "Percy, you literally saw me this morning."

"Doesn't mean I'm not allowed to miss my girlfriend."

"I suppose so. Hey, have you heard from Jason or Piper yet? They said they had something to tell us."

"No." I reply. "I actually heard about them through Chiron, so I don't know anything."

"Well Percy, I have to admit, I'm wondering, why did you call me in the middle of the day? You never do that."

"Is there something wrong with wanting to hear your voice?" I tease, grinning, even though she can't see me.

"No. Nothing wrong. Just glad to see you. You know, we should make a habit out of this." She says.

"Yeah, sure."

"Hey, have you heard from your mom lately?" She asks me.

"Yeah, I just called her the other day. She's been asking about you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. You know, she's says it's been awhile since ';ve brought you around. She wants to catch up with you sometime soon."

"Me too. I miss talking to Sally."

"We'll, I'm sure she'd be glad to see you, so we'll go by sometime soon. Hey, have you heard from your dad?"

"No too recently. He called me about two weeks ago to talk to me about Bobby and Matthew. I called him back and we chatted for a bit. It was nice. Hey, do you want to grab some lunch soon?"

"I can't. Got work stuff. But I promise tonight we'll grab dinner, ok?" I say.

"Ok." She replies.

"Great. Hey, have you contacted your mom lately?"

I can practically see her rolling her eyes. "No. She hasn't talked to me for about 3 months."

"Hey, that's not too bad for Olympian parents." I say, although it does get difficult being the child of an immortal being.

"Yeah, you're right about that. Hey, do you need me to pick up anything from the grocery store? I;m going shopping right now, and I have the list of items we need to get, but I want to know if you need something specific. "

"No, I'm good."

"Great. By the way, do your laundry when you get home. I'm tired of all your stinky socks everywhere."

"Ok, Wise Girl."

"Thanks. Big help. Oh, also, please don't forget to water the plants. If they die, I don't want to be cursed by Demeter."

"I promise I won't let that happen."

"Great. Thanks so much." I hear the relief in her voice.

I smile."I love you, for the biggest infinity there is."

She laughs. "I love you too, Seaweed Brain."

I smile, and wait for her to hang up the phone.

As I drop the phone to the sidewalk, I press a hand to the large, piercing wound in my stomach.

As much as Annabeth would like to say otherwise, I'm not a total idiot. I knew I was going to die from this. I was so stupid, going out after this monster on my own, and as soon its sword was embedded in my belly, it vanished from the alleyway.

Now you may be wondering why I called her and didn't tell her. I needed to hear her voice happy once again. Normal, as if everything in her life was going great. Which it was. I knew she would be broken after my death.

I wanted her to hear my voice one last time, and I needed to hear her. I needed to tell her I loved her before I died, so she definitely knew it, and knew that I meant it.

I feel my body getting weaker from the lack of blood.

My eyes drift close, and as I succumb to the darkness, my last thought is that of a girl with blonde hair and grey eyes, with an enchanting smile.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to be bringing back the sad oneshots! They're actually so much fun to write, even though I know they're not exactly the easiest on the heartstrings. I will now take all of your tears and hate in here.

*hands box of tissues*

Next oneshot coming out in a few days! I know these are pretty short, but that's because I'm doing a lot this week. I have a surprise coming for you guys in about a month too, so stay tuned for that!
