"You can't we don't have- Just run, Clementine!" There wasn't any point in trying. The dresser was inclining on me and the window just above my head had walker hands reaching out for me, almost ready to break the drywall of the mobile home. But Clementine wasn't ready to give up "I'll push the dresser" She immediately started shoving her back against the dense drawer, still struggling. "Clementine, you can't! If you get any closer, you'll get caught in it, too! It's not worth the risk..." My voice lowered in hopelessness and despair. The creak from the walls became more frequent as we went on. "Shut up! You'll make it, just don't give up!" A tear lined down Clementine's cheek with the words leaving her mouth, unwilling to let me go. I lifted the corners of my lips into a practiced warm smile as my voice began breaking "Clementine... it's gonna be okay." There wasn't a snowball's chance she'd give up. I couldn't forgive myself if i was what caused Clementine's end. Then I remembered her gun, guiding her to it with my eyes, unable to verbally suggest the idea. "No! You can't give up!" "Clementine, please!" I looked down, losing all the feeling in my body from the dresser's constant pressure, "It's better this way" All at once her emotions closed in on her and she dropped to her knees, sobbing and begging me to try harder. We argued in circles with each other before silence fell. She wiped her eyes with the cuffs of her blood soiled jacket, and pulled the gun from her pant pocket, and shakily aimed it between my eyes. ". . . I love you, Clementine." The last words I could ever think escaped my throat as I closed my eyes, letting the last tear from my burning eyes shed, wearily hanging my head. CLICK
