The relentless task of leaving your loved ones and going out to live in the outside world comes once in a villagers life. They are given certain tasks, some harder than others that will put their lives at risk. This is exactly what Dave's going through right now.

~Dave's pov~

You gasp as the chief of your village calls out your name. You can't leave now! Your not ready to leave your family behind! He continues.

"Dave! Your task is to bring back a full set of diamond armour and diamond tools." He says in their language that only their village can understand.

You look back at bro as the corners of his mouth turn up. You give him a glare. How can he be happy about this? You turn your attention back to the chief.

"Excuse me chief. Are you certain I'm ready to leave?" He smiled and laughed at your question.

"Of course you are! I have great faith in you, you can complete your task no problem." He says cheerfully.

You can't get out of this now. If the chief says your ready, he must see something in you. Something that you don't see in yourself. You just have to trust him you guess. You pack your bags and fall asleep later that day. You leave early in the morning not before hugging your bro which you've never done before. He was kind of startled but hugged you back. He was your only family you had there, so you didn't want to leave but you had to.

You gathered the courage and left him and took your backpack and a full set of wood tools with you. You were obviously very scared. You were shaking so hard, your shades slipped off the top of your head and onto your eyes startling you. You tripped over a root from one of the trees and landed flat on your back. You coughed a little and got up, rubbing your back. You spotted a clearing in the forest you were going through and decided that was a good place to build a house.

You grabbed your ax and chopped down a bunch of trees in the area. Gathering the wood and apples, replanting the saplings. You take all the logs and made them into planks. You build yourself a moderately sized house and leave to find wool to make a bed. You find a field and some sheep along with pigs and a few cows. You happily "harvest" the wool, pork and steak, to put it in a less morbid way. You go home and use the rest of your few planks to make yourself a crafting table, which you placed in the corner of your room. You craft a bed and place it next to the crafting table.

It was getting late and the sun had went down already. You lay down in your bed but couldn't fall asleep. Huh. Their must be mobs nearby. You get up out of your bed and grab an iron sword you had made earlier, looking around for mobs. You notice there was a block missing from your front wall. Enderman. Well, we're going hunting.

You replace the planks deciding it wasn't worth the risk of skeletons or anything really getting in. You open your door and walk out, closing it behind you. You begin to search the perimeter and spot a red light that looks like fireflies kind of and decide to check it out. You stealthily run over to it before it entered a cave. You follow it inside, carefully, if it was an enderman you'd want keep your eyes down.

You follow it to what looks like a house inside a cave. You finally decide to confront it. "Hey!" You shout in it's direction. It turns around and confirm that it is an Enderman, but its got a red light instead of a purple light, and it's kind of short. Cute.

It has your planks in its hands. Hey!

It makes kind of a hissing noise, showing it's surprisingly nubby teeth for an Enderman, even in a block world.

You show your sword and cast your gaze downwards. "I didn't come for any trouble, just want my planks back so I can sleep." You explain.

He hisses again and clutched the block to his chest. Welp, we're gonna have a problem. You place your sword back into your inventory and put your hands up defensively. "Woah there." You said, still looking down.

It lowered its defences and glared at you. You smiled at it, showing you weren't a threat. "What do you want?" He asked. His voice was kind of grainy and you smiled a little wider. You slipped your shades over your eyes and looked up into it's eyes, it didn't get angry because it couldn't see your crimson irises.

"I just came to ask why you took my planks?" You asked.

It made a swooshy sound and replied, "Because I did."

"Why though?" You think it could sense you looking into it's eyes, because it became very angry all at once. It's eyes became a brighter shade of red and it growled loudly, suddenly. You flinched and cast your eyes downwards. It tried to be intimidating, but it was so short it was almost cute. Almost.

"Sorry sorry." You said quickly and heald your hands up carefully.

"You fucker! " It said, grabbing you by the front of your shirt and holding you close to his face. "Look at me." He commanded. You did as told and looked into it's eyes. It reached up with a free hand and lifted your shades. You gasped and closed your eyes and turned away. "Open 'em." He said, you could hear your shades clatter on the cave floor to your side. He put a finger under your chin and turned your head toward him. "Open 'em." He said again but there was a venom behind his words. You opened your eyes.

"Oh my god." He whispered. His eyes were wide and his fireflies seemed to multiply. You smiled slightly as he set you down. You brushed off your shirt as your smile faded.

"Can I have my planks back?" You ask. He hissed again. He was actually really cute oh my god. "You know what, keep em. You said and went to grab your shades and leave. He teleported and took your shades before you could. "Hey!" You complain. He walked in front of your face and stared into your eyes. You blush slightly and your mouth hung open slightly. He was leaning foreward slightly and before you knew it he pressed his gray lips to yours. You stood there shocked for a second before melting into it, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, and his on your hips. You didn't know why either, his lips were just so soft and he tasted kind of like cherries. You liked it. You finally came to your senses and pulled away, your hands pushing his shoulders away gently. He made a light purring noise and you blushed a little deeper. "I dont even know your name."

"Karkat Vantas." He said, his eyes glowed brightly and you nodded.

"Dave Strider." You said. He leaned foreward again and continued to kiss you. It got a bit heated but you weren't gonna go too far considering you just met him. Karkat kissed up your neck and licked trying to find your sweet spot you guess. You wimpered where it felt the weirdest. He smiled a little and bit down gently and you moan softly. He seemed to like your noise because he did it until you were a moaning mess. He had his hands under your shirt slightly and caressed your bare stomach. He reached farther up your shirt and you whimper. "Wait."

"What?" He said kind of disappointed. You couldn't help but feel bad for him.

"I just met you." You meet his eyes, he seems to get happier instead of mad when you look into his eyes now.

He nodded pulling away and stood up straight.

You bit you lip and smiled. You leaned foreward giving him a goodbye kiss then whispered in his ear, "Tomorrow." He smiled a little. You took a torch in one hand and a sword in the other. You walked home with a hickey on your neck and a bright smile on your face. You fell asleep in your bed and smiled tiredly before falling asleep.

There are mobs nearby.

Tomorrow can happen now right? You smiled as you saw a bright red light out of the corner of your eye. You have a feeling this is going to be a long night.
