Alicia's POV
Isabelle. So Brian does care about someone. And according to her, Brian would be on his way to fight the rest of his team, absorb our powers, and kill the Magron King. How noble(Note the sarcasm). If I'm right, Brian should go to his newest base to equip. A base that is hours away from here riding a magic platform. At least Luke and Isabelle are here to help.
"Ok. We need to go about five miles east to Brian's newest base." I say while turning around to face them.
"What! Another base? That's like his fiftieth one." Luke exclaimed.
"Fifty-third to be exact." Isabelle interrupts.
"What!" Luke and I say in unison, "How would you know that?"
"Never mind." she mutters, "We're wasting time. Come on. Let's go."
I look at Luke and he shrugs at me.
"Seems she cared about him too." he says telepathically.
We follow Isabelle into the forest.
Brian's POV
At least I get to use my base after all. Everything I packed in there would be enough to supply four people for at least a month. Food, weapons, clothing, water, lights, pretty much everything you need to survive an siege or major war. The magrons brought crazy tech to this world. Teleporters, battle craft, and so much more. I take the teleporter to my base. Ugh. The teleporter always make me feel like I swallowed a huge piece of ice. A cold and slightly painful sensation making its way down your esophagus. When I finally get over the need to throw up, I look around. My base. Heavily armed with automatic turrets, sensory lights, and a automated tank. Serious defenses. I grab a snap-on spear, another sword, just like my old one, and a shield. I also put on a cape. Black with a red cross pattern. I tie the ends so it completely covers my arm which is holding my sword. I strap the shield on my back and hide the spear in one of its pockets. Ready. Thing is, the others won't be here for a few hours. I sit back in my chair. Isabelle. Is it possible that she is working for someone else? She seemed so distant these days. Talking to people telepathically. I wonder what she's doing right now.
Alicia's POV
Only one mile left. One mile until we reach the base. Our only chance is to intercept Brian on his way there. We must make it. There. The base. I can see the entrance to the base.I start running. Suddenly, a boy steps in my way. He is wearing a cape with a red pattern. He looks up to me. Brian.
