Chapter 1
Laura Evans is very frustrated right now. It seems like all the trouble she had avoided when she was home schooled was happening right now that she is at an actual school. All this problems attacking her at once is all too much for her brilliant mind to handle.
Maybe if she wasn’t so cunning, things would have turn out differently. Maybe Laura would still be kept in her little world, skating, dancing and minding her own business.
Maybe she should lessen her cunningness she thought to herself but immediately wipe it out of her mind, besides it wasn’t her fault that she was into this situation. Nate Tyson has a part in it too. If he just left her alone like she wants him to, this would all not turn out like this.
She sighed, very well frustrated.
Laura looked up at the ceiling of the Achen tower and begins to commemorate on what has happened these past few weeks.
Could life get anymore worst for her?
She skated freely into the now empty rink with all her heart. This sport is her only escape from the world that only wants to make her life an entire misery.
She was only seven when she first started skating. The year after her mother died in a car accident, she focused all her energy into this sport that she was surprisingly good at. From then on, she dreams of becoming a famous figure skater. But how can she do it when she was banned by her father from skating. She knew that without practice her dream would only be a distant dream and she couldn’t let that happen. Now, she is skating every night secretly in the schools’ hockey teams’ skating rink.
Laura couldn’t help but feel sorry for her self. For the first time in ten years, she was able to feel the emotion she hated the most. She felt vulnerable again. She shouldn’t be saying this but she half blamed her mother for leaving her with a father who seems to dislike her.
When she realized what she had just thought, she felt anger towards herself. She couldn’t blame her mother. She did everything she can to make her childhood happy, and even that thought didn’t deserve her and her memories.
Laura places the blade's toe pick into the ice for a forward inside pivot, then she executed a triple Lutz and triple toe loop combination followed by a double axle. She landed gracefully, and smiled to herself.
She just remembered her first triple when she was 9. That was also the year coach Fonda formally trained her.
Coach Fonda with her sharp eyes that criticized her very little mistakes, she missed her. Sadly, she couldn’t go back skating for a year.
Laura was cut out of her reverie when one of the lights was turned on. A raspy voice boomed in the rink. Crap, it was probably the janitor. She checked her watch and found out she spent an extra hour on ice than usual. She would be in so much trouble if she was discovered. Her father couldn’t hear any bad behavior from this school or else she would pay for it.
She skated as fast as she can to the side of the rink and hurriedly grabs her stuff leaving her precious rink.

Nate Tyson is Fortesch High’s golden boy, the star of the hockey team, and a legendary bad boy. Growing up in Vancouver, Canada, he grew up loving Hockey more than he loves girls. Even with the bad reputation he was still the apple of every girl’s eyes.
He was the reason for the 3 consecutive wins of their school for the state championship. It had been easy back then, but right now, their prefect record seems to be in jeopardy. Their rival school got a star of their own, and this year will surely be tough.
Nate seems to be in a bad mood ever since the news. His team mates have been kind of scared to be around him lately and are performing rather poorly making him even more pissed and terrifying. Now this bad boy is up for some show, he is walking towards the Fortesch gym for his daily exercise. He hums along the way really excited. Nothing pleases him more than seeing a bunch of girls playing lacrosse wearing those short skirts of theirs. It was a sight.
When he reached the gym, girls made their way for him to notice them. He held a grin, really proud of himself. After jogging a couple of times and hitting on several girls, he paused for a moment ready to watch the show.

Laura Evans is really disappointed when she arrived at her first lacrosse class. She was rather excited a while ago only to find out that she is playing with losers. Laura believes that playing with them would make her stoop to their level. She believes that they don’t deserve her to be alongside any of them. She deserves to play with the best and the best only.
After teams were paired she immediately reaches the coach and made an excuse that she was ‘allergic to grass.’ The coach didn’t seem to buy it but just sighed and said, “I don’t buy it Evans. I may be bad at philosophy but, I am not that stupid.” He told her off, but Laura wasn’t to be discouraged. Finally the coach gave in and allowed her to be a substitute player for any team.
Laura is now just standing behind the lines a little pissed at everyone. She criticized every move they made and thought that she would really not play with any of them.
***
Nate Tyson is enjoying the view. He is a little far behind the sidelines watching girls play lacrosse or rather have a cat fight. He loves watching the girls turn the sport into a clash, knowing full well that the reason behind it was him.
The game is kind of heated right now. Five of the chicks he hit on earlier are having an argument on who would go out with him after school. He watched and hopes it would be the Audrey chick. She was kind of hot.
Minutes later, five of the girls started wrestling on the floor. The goofy grin that was plastered on his face turned into a frown when the coach stopped the fight that he had anticipated so much.
He sighed a little disappointed. But his mood was turned around again when a girl standing on the sidelines caught his eyes.
She doesn’t seem familiar. He cursed himself for not taking notice of his surroundings a while ago.
Nate made his way towards the beautiful blonde. As he was nearer, he could see that saying beautiful was an understatement. She was exquisite. He smiled; maybe going out with the Audrey chick was a total waste after all, because now, he had a bigger fish to catch.
