Chapter one

'I can't believe that we are lost', Claudia exaggerated. The two twins had come to Idaho to have a camping trip with their high school friends but ended up getting lost. The day was closing in and it was getting dark, so the twins decided to make a shelter. 'Oh my goodness! What was that?' Claudia exclaimed,' it was nothing, go to sleep' Mateo sleepily said back. So as the sun went up, the twins got up to. It was a new day for them to try and get back home, as they went down the mountain they got tired. Mateo spotted a tree trunk just a few metres away and decided to stop there for a rest, Claudia was barely making it down the mountain but when she saw her brother sit down she sighed in relief. Just before Mateo sat down he saw something flash past him, he stumbled as he tried to regain his balance, 'What happened, I saw you stumble for a bit but I didn't see anything.' Claudia said out of breath as she as well sat down.

As they sat down and started to eat, something behind a large bush rustled around. 'What was that Claudia asked feeling very frightened.' I don't know but let's find out.' Mateo said hastily. As the two twins went to see what it was, a man stood behind the tree. 'Mate,' the guy said, the guy was wearing nothing but cargo pants. 'What is a mate? 'Both twins said in unison. 'Why don't you guys come along with me and I'll tell you what they are,' the guy said. A couple of other guys who were wearing pants but no shirt appeared around the tree too. The twins stood there flabbergasted at the men, 'What are you waiting for, come on.' The mysterious guy said. 'What's your name Mateo asked, 'My name is Adrian, what are yours??' He asked back 'My name is Mateo and this is my sister Claudia', Mateo said back. Adrian then led them to a beautiful mansion that probably had more than 15 rooms, as they went through the gate people started to come out of the house. They started to yell out' The Alpha is here, The Alpha is here!' the twins just stood there confused until they saw children, men and women coming out of the house. The children started to hug him and try to drag him away but he stayed put, 'so are we going to talk about what you said back at the woods?' Claudia asked. 'Yeah sure, he quickly said, so we went inside and he explained what mates are, what happens when someone finds their mate, what the other person may feel when they touch or are in close contact and what the mating ceremony is. After this entire talk everyone was silent, the twins had a look of worry and amusement, 'so have you found your mate Adrian? She asked quietly. 'I have actually-it's you.'

The whole room was silent,' what do you mean its Claudia, she's not even a werewolf! Mateo exclaimed. 'Calm down he's not done explaining yet Claudia said calmly. As I was saying before I was interrupted, mates can be together no matter what type of creature-that's what the moon goddess chose for us and we will follow it.' Adrian said with a smile as he looked at Claudia, who was blushing red like a tomato. Mateo just sat there with his hands covering his face, his sister started to rub circles in his back knowing that it helped him calm down. So what now? She asked as she kept rubbing her brothers back, well you guys are staying here and Claudia will become the Luna of this pack but my mum will help you if you need help.
