"Pssst! Bree," A short pause, "Bree, Bree Anne Matthews!"
"What?!" I harshly whispered- maybe a little too loudly, making the librarian turn and throw a disapproving look in my direction.
Blushing, I hid my face back inside a book, secretly glancing at Hazel, her smile devious.
"What is it?...Another boyfriend?" I guessed.
"No, of course not- what do you take me as, a whore?" Hazel smiled jokingly, running her fingers through her long chocolate hair.
"Of course not, you're no whore, your just a S L U T," I said, spelling out slut on my fingers.
"Yeah, and you're still single." Hazel remarked, as I rolled my eyes.
"Not everyone has to have a boyfriend, we can still be single and live the dream... right?" I asked, partially confused at what had come out if my mouth.
"Duh, remember in last year in seventh grade when we went to that high school party?"
"Yeah- what of it?" I whispered back
"Well, It was right after I broke up with Dean, and we still partied both of our asses off."
"True," I giggled "Your sister was so pissed that we showed up."
"I know right, the only thing Jenette was doing besides hooking up with Joey in the kitchen, was scolding us!"
I laughed, the memories Hazel and I shared spoke for themselves.

I walked down the hallway, Hailie trailing behind me. I could tell she thought I didn't know she was there, 'idiot' I thought, rolling my eyes.
Reaching my locker, I began to twist the familiar pattern. 26....51....30.
Hailie flipped her (obviously dyed) maroon hair over her shoulder, craving attention. She lightly tapped her manicured nails on my shoulder, wanting me to turn around.
"What?" I harshly whispered, not wanting anyone else to notice. After all, we were the golden couple, the 'match of our school'.
But turns out, in reality, we're not. I only stay with her because my parents practically make me, they say it's all about business bonds, bonds that tie company's together.
So why not force your son to date the hotel industries daughter. yeah, why not?
Well, I'll tell you why not. Because she's a bitch behind a mask. She puts on a smile to warm you, then whether you like it or not, she pulls out her knife, and stabs you in the back.
I should know, our relationship has been on and off since...forever, or at least as long as I can remember.

[Bree's P.O.V.]
We found our way out if the library through the main doors.
The doors led through the eighth grade hallway, and past there; was the lunch hall, which included the cafeteria, art room, woodshop, guidance counselors office, and the computer lab.
I found my locker, S37 and glanced at the combo printed on a pink sticky note.
3...24....17
Creaking the blue door open, I glanced behind me, just out of habit, observing the carefree hall.
Behind me, I see a pale girl, with shaded maroon hair. She's gazing into some guys eyes. From the back I can see that he's naturally gorgeous. I can see his fluffy brown hair, and modern style, and just tell he's popular.
I wonder what school he came from. This middle school combines 3 elementary schools, one of which was just added this year. Although I've spotted many familiar faces, some are different. Fresh you could say. All new. And in fact it was refreshing, it was a promise of something exciting. Something different, an I for one, was up for a change.

Thing you should know
•This school included many other elementary schools and districts.
-Bree might be from one town, while her locker neighbor is from another.
