My mother turned out to be alive in the end.
She had lost alot of blood and was spitting mad, but alive. After they patched up her injuries the police said she was to be kept in a holding cell until her trial. So my lawyer questioned me about what happened, and I testified against my mother.
But I never mentioned Bruce.
When the police asked about him, stating my mother was screaming about him being a 'violent menace to her being,' I simply played innocent, pretending he didn't exist. Because of my mothers insane track record they believed me and scratched Bruces involvement off the record, making him no longer suspect. My lawyer, in completing my questioning, said my mother would most likely be locked up for a very long time.
And I was honestly totally ok with it.
She had been my birth mother yes, but never a true mom.
Currently I was walking down the street, the clear night sky sparkling above me.
Almost a month after the incident with my mother.
The air was cool, wind lightly hitting my skin as I walked. I smiled as I saw the small, cozy coffee shop ahead, soft light leaking from it's windows. The door chimed loudly as I opened it, the familiarity making me grin. I waved quickly to Liam, who was busily serving customers at the counter, before finding a table for four near the back. When I was seated I reached into my bag, pulling out a book...
Romeo and Juliet.
I stared fondly at the cover, stroking it's beaten surface as I thought about Allie.
After her threatening Summer and hearing about Felicia (aka Ferret Girls) feelings she had apparently had a change of heart.
Quite literally.
Her and Felicia both got sent to a boarding school for troubled teens.
Together.
Ever since they had arrived they had been dating. Apparently Felicia was helping Allie through her attachment and anger issues, being the best support system possible for my ex-best friend.
When Allie finally accepted Felicia's love she started to finally let me go.
A small tear ran down my face, relief and happiness running through my system. Allie was my first best friend, and though she had tried to cause me harm deep down I still cared about her.
And I was glad she was happy.
A soft kiss placed on the top of my head snapped me out of my thoughts, making me grin happily.
"Hey babe." I said fondly, turning to face Summer who now sat beside me smiling. Her face faltered as she saw my tears, worry marring her features.
"Are you alright?" She questioned softly, brushing a piece of hair behind my ear before clasping my hand in hers. I smiled and laughed slightly, making relief show across her face.
"Yeah," I started, wiping the tear away gently. "Just crying at my favorite part." She smiled brightly, understanding hitting her. "Now I need a proper greeting." I said mischieviously, leaning closer to her face. She rolled her eyes and chuckled before leaning towards me as well, our lips meeting softly in the middle.
It started off innocently before it heated, our lips meeting in a more desperate manner as the kiss continued. I lightly ran my tongue along her bottom lip, urging her to open. She smirked against my lips, making me moan slightly in frustration, before we were interrupted.
"Ew girl kissing!" Caden yelled obnoxiously, running to hide behind Ronald who was rolling his eyes in disgust. His arm was draped tightly around Caden, gluing their bodies together.
Despite them interrupting Summer's and my moment, I smiled.
"You're one to talk." Summer said sarcastically, her nose scrunched up in remembering. "You try seeing your brother making out with his boyfriend every time you walk into to a room in your house, it's disturbing." Ronald simply shrugged sheepishly, a slight blush betraying his usually cocky features. Caden on the other hand still looked creeped out.
"But kissing a girl is gross!" Casen said, shuddering at the thought. I laughed in response, making him scowl at me.
"I cannot believe you used to think you were straight." I said bemusedly, making Summer laugh and Caden shrug.
"Oops?" Caden responded innocently, making Ronald smile at him.
"You're so adorable when you're frustrated." Ronald said bluntly, making Caden blush even harder. I grinned as they leaned in towards one another, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
It was great to see two of my friends so happy. However one was not in total agreement with me.
"Oh come on!" Summer said, frustration evident in her tone. "Do I ever get a break?" I laughed at her aggravation but didn't respond.
I was too distracted.
I looked deeply at her, studying her perfect features. My gaze ran over her face before stopping at her beautiful, mesmerizing eyes.
Those eyes, that despite everything else, had always been stuck in my mind.
After that night, that night in which I made the biggest mistake if my life, I thought I had seen the end. But I was glad that I didn't.Because I was hoping I would never see the end of Summer Haze.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked curiosly, her eyes scanning the dreamy look on my face. I simply smiled, pecking her lips.
"Just that I love you." I replied, grinning at her blush. She smiled at me before pulling me in for another kiss before saying the words I would never stop wanting to hear from her.
"I love you too."

So thanks again for all your support and participation.
Now I am deciding which story I want to continue first now that I have finished this one. Either "From Straight Lines to Circles," or "A Long Way to Fall." I am going to write the next chapter in one of those tomorrow. So make sure you check it out! If you want one of them to be written vote for that one or send me a message.
