Alicia's POV
Wow. Didn't expect Brian to be a traitor. Elvin seemed to be the most traitorous. But Brian. The fact that the one who began the new heroes of legend is a traitor. Who knows who is part of Brian's league of traitors.
I summon a sword, spin around, and slash. My sword hits another sword with a clash of sparks. Wow. The person is wearing a black mask covering his or her face. I can pretty much see through the thin fabric. Brian. I had just been thinking about him and poof there he is. Something is off though. His sword is different from his usual sword and he never left his old sword. His stood straight up and fought like a regular person. Brian always spins around and using trickery is his favorite method of fighting. Makes him look better than he actually is. I constantly spin around expecting an attack from behind. Strange. Maybe this isn't Brian after all. Maybe a person in disguise. Yeah. This person is a bit taller and looks like Brian if he was sixteen of seventeen.
"Why are you here." I ask through gritted teeth.
"Because older brothers are usually concerned about their siblings." He replies calmly.
This surprised me. "Will?"
"No. Come on. Why does everyone think I'm Will. I'm Luke. Luke." Luke says.
"Oh." I say, "You weren't disguised as Brian after all. You look like him because you're his brother."
"Yeah. By the way, where is Brian again?" He asks.
Wow. That question came up really quick. Just like Brian. Always asks questions that will hurt them first.
"About that. He kind of..." I start.
"So you know too. Don't you." He asks, "Okay. I didn't want to explain it to you too. When I told Matthew, the field we stood in flooded. And when I told Andrew, you get the idea."
Of course I get it. Matthew, A.J, and Andrew, and Brian started this new team together. They would be horrified.
"Don't worry." Luke adds quickly, "Brian met someone who might help him. Meet Isabelle. Brian's old friend."
Brian's POV
I wake up to Isabelle pacing around the room. Back and forth. Back and forth. Making me dizzy. She seems to be having a telepathic conversation. Whoever she's talking to must be fairly stubborn. She has that concentrated look in her eyes whenever she argues. As if she is planning out what to say next.
"Hey" I say weakly. Who knows what she might do now that she has powers herself, "Just know that I didn't mean anything bad to you lasts night."
Just then, I hear the intercom crackle to life. Why an intercom. The first day I was here, I destroyed it. Now, it's out of my range. Stupid thing.
"Excuse me sir, it is time for you to prepare to fight your old teammates."
"Okay thank you. I'll be there soon." I reply.
I turn to Isabelle. "Wait for me. Okay? I'll be back." I say. Boy is this going to be fun.
