Epilogue For Mr Kidnapper, Can You Give Me A Ride Home by racingheart

The sun shown brightly in through my bedroom window, bothering my eyes. I threw one of my pillows over my head and rolled over. I wanted to stay in bed all day and never get out. My mind wondered and I thought about the past year.

Josh had to still leave to film a scene for his movie, Malibu Sunset. Constantly, I see him on television with his arm around Melissa Young’s waist. It made my blood boil every time, though he told me it was only a PR stunt. I know he told me that he loved me, but that wouldn’t stop her from trying to get him to change his mind. I hoped every night that he would stay strong for us.

I rolled onto my back and looked up at the ceiling. I grounded because I now wanted something to eat. I got up and walked into the kitchen, opened the fridge and took out a handful of Hershey Kisses.

Yum, a healthy breakfast of chocolate.

Sitting down at the breakfast bar, I unwrapped a couple and popped a few in my mouth, savoring the chocolaty taste.

I touched my necklace. It’s a replica of the one Josh broke after finding out there was a tracking device in his shoe and that I might have had one also. He turned out to be true.

I unclasped the lock and placed the necklace on the table. I had a feeling my father put a tracking device in this one also, so I would sometimes take it off at home and go somewhere else. It was just to have some fun without my father tracking me.

There was a knock at the door. I stuffed the wrapped chocolates into my pocket.

“Come in Cam!” I yelled.

Cam was really sweet after everything. He stayed near me as my bodyguard and put up with my eating habits and almost endless talks about Josh. Now that he knew Josh was my kidnapper, there were no more secrets… well, almost no more secrets between us. He even offered to take me to meet Josh at the airport tomorrow.

I got up from my seat and opened the fridge, reaching in for a bagel; then I was grabbed from behind.

An arm wrapped around my middle, pinning my arms to my side. A hand covered my eyes and I felt myself be pulled backwards.

A scream ripped out from my throat as I kicked hard. The fridge door slammed closed.

Another pair of hands grabbed my legs, surrendering me defenseless as I was lifted up into the air.

No one spoke a word.

My captors were completely silent; as if they had been planning my kidnapping weeks ahead.

A dreadful thought came to my mind.

My necklace is on the breakfast bar and I’m dealing with professionals!

It was a bumpy ride down the stairwell and all I could do was pray they wouldn’t drop me down the stairs and to my death. But that would defeat the purpose of kidnapping me.

Where was Cam? He was supposed to be the one at my door. He was there at the same time every morning.

What if they did something to him?

I grew more worried about Cam than myself, and I didn’t realize when the stairs ended. They were walking on flat ground. Possibly even heading outside.

I knew right when we got out the front door of the building because I could hear  the sounds of birds chirping.

I was thrown into the backseat of a car. No one was holding me and my vision was no longer obscured.

First person I saw, I lashed out on.

“Cam! You Jerk!” I yelled, slapping him lightly on the arm and hit him anywhere else that was available.

“I was only helping!” he said, getting me off him.

“Who?” I asked, my hands went to my waist as I waited for his answer.

“That would be me.”

I turned to the familiar voice behind me.

“Josh!” I was shocked. “What are you doing here? Your supposed be in France!”

“I lied. I’m here to kidnap you.” He answered.

I was taken over by a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Cam looked over at Josh, confused.

“Why is she laughing?” he asked. Josh shrugged his shoulder.

“I can’t believe that I actually thought I was being kidnapped by professionals!” I told them.

“That’s just cruel.” Josh replied. I continued laughing at the two of them.

“I am a professional.” Cam answered.

“How did you get into this plan?” I asked.

“He called me and told me the plan so I wouldn’t attack him. I offered to help.” Cam replied, answering my question.

I hugged Cam tightly. He was the best friend a girl could have.

“Thank you.” I smiled.

“You have a week to run off, then I’ll come after you.” He let go of me.

I headed back to the car and to Josh.

“London!” Cam called.

I turned and faced him. “Yeah?”

Cam reached into his pocket and pulled out a chocolate bar. He threw it up and I caught it.

“Try to save it for the plane ride.”

“No promises.” I answered, getting into the car. Instantly, I ripped open the wrapper.

“Hey Jack!” I heard Cam yell. “That candy bar won’t last, try to give her one every two hours.”

“It’s a hard request, but I’ll try.” Josh replied. He got into the drivers seat.

As we drove off, I waved goodbye to Cam.

“So, where are we going?” I asked him, eating the Hershey Kisses from my pocket.

“Don’t worry, this time I have a plan.”

“What plan is that?” I smiled, remembering how Josh’s first kidnapping attempt had turned out.

“How does a tropical island sound?” he asked.

“Sounds like my chocolate will melt.” I answered.

He laughed, “Same old London.”

“I’m not old.”

“No, you’re beautiful.” I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

“Mr. Kidnapper, can you give me another chocolate bar?”
