Sitting at the desk and trying to stay focused is way too difficult - especially when there's only one minute left till the summer holidays begin. I bite the top of my pen and stare at the clock. The silent has never been quieter than it was now, I could even hear the clock on the tall white wall ticking away. It felt like the minute was going to last forever. Suddenly the bell rang and everybody got off their seats. "Woohooo!" Shouted Brian O'Dylan and ran across the classroom right to the door. Who's Brian O'Dylan? He's a very popular guy. He's the popular guy. Even though he's kind of cute, he's a jerk. Or maybe not, maybe he's just acting like one. But Evelyn, one of my best friends, likes him. And no, I don't mean the "Oh yeah, he's cute I like him" crush, oh hell no! I mean the kind of "Oh gosh I love him!" crush. Yep, that's it. As I walk past Evelyn, I grab her arm "Wait!" She laughs pulling me back towards her. "So what are you up to?" She asked, tossing her bag across her shoulder. "We should all just hang out in here." I suggested.
She laughed. "Oh yeah, the school's ended. Why don't we stay? For real?" Somebody grabbed my shoulder as we walked out of the classroom.
"We should definitely stay!" I recognise Paiges' voice. Paige is another one of my best friends. To be honest, I'm never scared around her. Well, rather with her. I mean, who would be scared with somebody who can put down a bear with a knife only? Yes, she actually can.
"Oh ha, ha..." Evelyn rolled her eyes. I headed up the hall to my locker.
"Hey, where's Christina?" I stopped while unlocking it.
"I'm here!" She came to us with her sugar sweet smile. There you go. The three of my best friends nobody could ever replace.***
"Pass me the coke!" Said Paige, stretching for the bottle. Evelyn laughed, passing it on to her. "This sleepover is awesome!" Giggles Christina. "Wait -" Evelyn pauses "did she just giggle??" She throws the bottle of coke to Paige and the lights go off. The room falls silent. "What's happening...?" Christina whispers. I can see nothing. Suddenly I hear the door opening and a beam of light comes in. Somebody jumps inside with a black mask over his face and screams, which lead to all of us screaming. Then the lights turn on again. It's Brian, Tyler and Lucas. "You idiots, get out of here!" I point at the door with my finger. "Oh come on, we just wanted to have some fun!" They laugh and I stand up "I said get lost! Do my parents even know you're here? They better not otherwise you're dead!" I was so angry. But they kept annoying us, they didn't listen... Then Paige stood up "Okay, if you won't leave in ten secconds, I'm gonna kick your -!"Before she could finish that sentence, Brian cut her off"Oh I'm so scared!" Brian quipped and Paige slaped him. Hard. "Paige!" Evelyn tried to calm her down. Brian came closer to Paige and whispered "what? Was that suppose to hurt? We'll see who'll have the last laugh." he taunts smirking. "Abby!" My dad called. The boys got hilariously scared and ran as quick as they could. "Die!" screamed Paige and she sat back down. "Damn, Paige." Evelyn sterted "You didn't really have to slap him." she crossed her arms over her chest. "Oh please, if she didn't slap him, then I would've." Christina spoke up.
I sure didn't expect anything like that to happen. I mean why the hell did they come? Couldn't they just leave us alone and interrupt some other party? This wasn't even a party but no, they had to come to my house to make Paige slap Brian. And to be honest he was looking pretty serious and very scary when he said "We'll see who'll get the last laugh" that scared the crap out of me. I couldn't sleep the whole night. The only thing I thought about were these words and what they could possibly mean. "Okay, enough!" I though trying to get out of bed. All the girls were asleep. I went slowly down the stairs and I opened my computer.
One e-mail. I opened the mail and I had a message from unknown person.
Unknown: Ready for the game? You better be, we're starting tomorrow...
Me: who are you?
Unknown: I'm a friend, my dear Abby.
Me: a friend? Do I actually know you?
Unknown: No. But I'm a friend.
Who is that person? Is that Brian?! I swear, if it is him, I'll seriously just punch him right into his face! "Calm down" I said to myself and another "ping" sound came out of my computer indicating a new message. I looked at it.
Mia: hey, sorry I couldn't come, maybe next time?
Me: yeah, totally.
Mia is one of my very close friends, we practically grew up together. She was suppose to come, but a few days ago her family went to Asia. I closed the computer and went upstairs. Christina scared me so bad - she was standing at the very first stair, staring down. "Woah! Christina??? What are you doing?" She stares down for a while, looks terrefied and I'm not sure what to do. "Christina?" I come closer. She looks at me and whispers "Somebody's downstairs Abby." She says, her voice shaky. "No, no, no! That was me, I was there." I try to calm her down. She breathes in to say something, but in two seconds I hear something break. Downstairs. We get scared, I was supprised I didn't scream. I step towards the stairs and Christina follows me. We go as quiet as we can, but I guess the stairs just hate me... A squeaky sound comes from one of them and I just run down. "Hello?" I pass the kitchen, walking into the living room. A shadow of something or someone was getting closer. Suddenly a person comes out of the bathroom door and Christina and I scream... "Hey! Girls, woah, it's me!" It was Nico, my sisters boyfriend who's five years older than her. Yes, I've got a sister. We're the same age, she's just two months older than me. How? Well my father had some kind of affair with another woman. What he didn't know was, that the woman got pregnant and then he met my mum. They fell in love and took things very fast... Five years later he recieved a call that mother of his daughter, Rose, had died and he had to either give her up or bring her to Washington. My mum wanted a second child, but she had some problems and she just couldn't have another baby. So she was happy, even though Rose isn't really her daughter, she just takes her as her own blood. Wow, that sounds confusing, huh?
