It's been a week since the party. Since the night Jayden kissed me. And in that one week, i havent spoken to Jayden once. He hasn't been at school all week. I even missed out on singing class with him. I don't know whether I should feel guilty or not about kissing someone elses boyfriend. I haven't even told the girls about the kiss... yet.
Tonight the girls are coming over for a sleepover. They are coming around 6pm-ish, so that gives me awhile to go shopping for some items that we will be needing tonight.
I grabbed $50 off mum and pulled a jacket on. I put my phone and wallet in a small bag. I opened the front door and began walking down the street to the shops. I need to rent a couple of good movies and get heaps of food.
As I was walking down Jaydens street, I saw him come out of his house. He saw me the same time I saw him. I stopped walking at the end of his drive way. We sort of just stared at each other for a moment, neither one of us saying a word.
"Britt" Jayden smiled coming towards me.
"Hey Jayden" i smiled and began walking towards him.
We stopped in front of each other. I looked up at him and he looked down at me.
"I havent seen you at school lately" I said quickly and looked down at my feet.
Jayden scratched the back of his neck and sighed, "Yeah, I needed to think things over".
"Like what?" I asked looking up at him.
He looked at me and smiled, "Important things".
I have this feeling that he's talking about the other night when we kissed.
"Fair enough. I was pretty upset when you didn't get to teach me the other day in singing class" I replied.
"Yeah sorry about that. I'm really sorry about that. Let me make it up to you?" he asked with a smile forming on his face.
"What did you have in mind?" I asked smiling as well.
"Come over to my house tomorrow and I can give you a lesson then" he smiled.
"I'm not sure Jayden" I said hesitant.
"Britt, it's okay. You will be fine, I promise" he smiled reassuringly.
I nodded my head smiling, "Sure, just text me the details and I'll see you there" I smiled.
I grabbed a pen out of my bag and grabbed Jaydens hand. It was warm compared to my cold hands.
"Sorry about how cold my hands are" I chuckled as I wrote my number on Jaydens hand.
"That's okay, it's not that bad" Jayden smiled.
I pulled away and put my pen back in my bag.
"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow" Jayden smiled and shoved his hands in his pockets.
"Sure" I smiled. I turned around and continued walking to the shops.
I grabbed what I needed at the shops and headed home before the girls got there. I walked inside and setted up my room with pillows in front of my tv and lollies and food around it. I placed the pile of DVDs next to my DVD player and stood at my door, examining my room. Yep, it looks good. And as if on cue, the door bell rung. I raced downstairs and opened the door to see Teesha and Chantelle standing there with their overnight bags.
"Hey girls" I smiled as I hugged them and let them in. They followed me up to my bedroom.
"Wow, you have nice room" Teesha smiled as she put her bag down next to my bed.
"Thank you" I smiled and sat on my bed.
"Just make yourselves comfortable in front of the tv and pick a movie. I'll be back in a minute" I smiled and left the room.
I was walking past Trents room, when his door swung open. I jumped in the air and clutched my chest.
"Trent! You scared me!" I exclaimed and slapped his chest.
"Sorry Britt" he apologized.
"It's okay. What are you doing anyway?" I asked.
"I was gonna ask you the same question" he smiled and leaned against the door frame.
"The girls are here and I was just going to get them a bottle of water" I replied.
"What are their names again?" he asked.
"Chantelle and Teesha" I smiled.
Trent shifted on the spot and looked back at me. "Do you reckon I could go say hello to them?" he asked.
"Sure, just come with me first" I replied. Trent followed me downstairs and he grabbed three bottles of water and followed me back upstairs to my room.
I pushed my bedroom door open and watched as Chantelle and Teesha looked up at Trent and I.
"Girls, this is my brother Trent. Trent, this is Chantelle and Teesha" I smiled as I pointed to the girls.
Trent put down the bottle of water and waved shyly. "Hey girls" he smiled.
"Hey Trent" they both smiled. I looked at Chantelle and she blushed slightly when Trent waved at her. Hmm, what's going on here? I must sus this out.
"Um, thanks Trent for your help" I smiled and faced Trent.
"That's okay Britt" he smiled. "It was nice to meet you girls" he added and waved at them, in which they waved in return.
I watched as Trent left the room, and then I turned back to the girls. "So, what movie did yous pick?" I asked.
"We chose Dear John" Teesha smiled.
"Oh my gosh, I love that movie!" i squealed and sat in between them.
I was about to press play on the remote, when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I quickly pulled it out and read the message.
'From; Unknown Number-
Hey Britt, it's Jayden. I'm just letting you know that you can come over anytime tomorrow between 9am and 10am. You know where I live, so I don't need to give you my address. I can't wait to see you again.'
