~a month after Dan's suicide~
Why did I do this to Tony. He doesn't know I faked my death like the idiot I am. Why! Stupid decision Dan! Stupid! I wonder if he's home... Dan sat on the grass next to the bridge where he had committed "suicide." He looked up at the passing cars, hoping someone would stop and take him to the hospital because he ingested too much sea water and it's starting to hurt his chest. No...no no no don't lose consciousness... Dan blacked out from not getting any sleep for the past week.
~hours later~
Dan woke up in a lit room. It was white and he had something on his arm. He reached for his glasses and put them on. Wait...why am I in the hospital? Please tell me Tony didn't find me passed out on the grass... To Dan's surprise, it wasn't. It was a young girl. "D-Did you...save me?" Dan's voice was low and groggy. "Yes I did. I was driving when I saw you laying by the bridge. My name's Samii by the way. I got your phone and called the first number that popped up in your contacts. He said he'll be here in about 10 minutes." Samii walked over and sat in the chair next to Dan's bed. "Wait. Who?!" Dan's heart monitor started beeping loudly. "Calm down! He said his name is Tony. He said he's your best friend." Said Samii. "Why did you call him! Do you know the stuff that has been going on this past month?!" Dan didn't calm down.
"No sir! Please calm down!" Samii tried and tried to calm Dan down, it helped a bit though. Great. I'm done for. Just then, a familiar voice sounded outside his door. It was Tony asking a nurse which room Dan was in. She said which one and Tony thanked her. Not even two minutes went by and Tony was knocking on Dan's door. "Come in!" Samii called out. Tony walked in, his face blistering red. He immediately burst out crying. "I'll just...leave you two. Hope you get better Dan." Then Samii walked out, leaving Dan in confusion on how she knows his name. Dan quickly shook the thought off and looked at Tony who was crying hard.
"Tony..." "NO! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO ME? IT'S BEEN A MONTH DAN! EXPLAIN TO ME WHY YOU FAKED YOUR DEATH!" Tony's voice was shaky and full of sadness and rage. "You deserved Cassidy. I love you and you don't love me. I faked my death because I thought it'd be better if I was gone. I've been dealing with depression as well." Dan choked up, tears threatening to fall. "Dan..." Tony's voice began getting softer and less rage filled, "I broke up with Cassidy. I realized how she was and I was going to tell you that I broke up with her and tell you that I realized my feelings for you...but I was too late." Tony walked over and sat on Dan's bed right beside him. "So you're saying...?" Dan paused for a moment. "Yes Dan. I love you...and don't ever leave me like that again!"
Tony playfully hit Dan's shoulder. Both chuckled lightly and then Tony laid down beside Dan and curled up to him. Dan wrapped his arm that wasn't tied up with an IV around Tony. "I'm sorry Tony. I didn't mean to leave you." Said Dan.
Then the unexpected happened.
IT WAS A DREAM? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! OH MY GOD. Dan shot up and mentally smacked himself. "That's it. I'm going to tell Tony I'm okay." Dan got up, chest still hurting, and walked the way home, not noticing his car was still there.
~a little while later~
Dan got home and, to his surprise, didn't see Tony's car there. He walked up and found the spare key Tony always kept under the mat and unlocked the door. He walked in and quickly went up to his room. He got out his pen and paper and wrote,
Tony,
I want to let you know I'm okay. I'm so sorry I did this to you. I never meant to hurt you. I just though that everyone would be better off without me. Besides, you have Cassidy. Anyway, I'm alright. But Tony, if you see this, I want you to know,
