"Are you okay Percy?" Annabeth finally asked when they reached Percy's bedroom. He had been completely silent the whole way home and she couldn't help but feel bad.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm just going to go take a quick shower. I'll be right back." He said quickly as he disappeared behind a door in the back wall that supposedly led to a bathroom. Slowly, she walked into the room and looked around.

The first thing she noticed was the ugly yellow walls. It wasn't so much that she didn't like the color, it just wasn't Percy. Next, her attention drew towards the paint cans that sat in one corner. Upon further inspection, Annabeth smiled when she read the name of the paint color. It fit her boyfriend perfectly.

An idea began to form in her mind as she swept the room with her eyes once more. This time, they landed on a night stand stationed beside the bed. Along with the typical lamp and drawers, there was a picture frame propped up against the wall.

She walked closer towards it and took a good look at the photo inside the frame. She felt a silent tear streak down her cheek as she remembered back to that memory. The picture depicted her most cherished moment in her life..

Frozen in time, Percy held Annabeth in his arms. They were both soaking wet since they had just been thrown into the lake together. They stood at the end of a dock, just staring into each other's eyes.

Annabeth remembered that day very well. She remembered the kiss they had shared under water. She also remembered the way they had kissed as they shared his birthday cupcake.

She smiled brightly as she turned away from the picture and walked back across the room. Her mind made up, she knew what she wanted to do.

As she went to open the paint cans, she heard the bathroom door open again.

Percy walked back into his bedroom to find his girlfriend holding up two paint brushes. A smug smile reflected back in her usually stormy, dark eyes. At the moment, they were a lighter gray and held a hint of amusement behind them. Percy couldn't help but smile at the sight of her.

"What do we have here?" He asked out of pure cockiness. He thoroughly enjoyed the eye roll he got in response. Without another word, Annabeth handed him a paintbrush and the two went to work turning the ugly yellow into a vibrant blue.

They worked in happy silence for an hour. In that time, they managed to get three walls done. Percy looked over at the blonde girl beside him and admired the look of concentration on her face. He couldn't help but break her focus by placing a drop of paint on the tip of her nose.

She froze for a moment before she went to look at her nose. Percy laughed loudly at the sight of her crossed-eyed expression. Annabeth grunted to herself as she leaned down to pick up her brush again. In one quick swoop, she left a slash of blue across Percy's cheek.

He stood there in shock, his eyes wide open in astonishment. After a moment, he picked his own brush back up and moved in to attack.

The war lasted for a good twenty minutes before it started to die down. By then, paint was everywhere except on the walls.

"Truce?" Percy asked slightly breathless. He watched Annabeth carefully from the other side of the room as she too tried to get some air. She nodded in agreement.

They laughed happily as they finished the last wall of the room. When they were done, they dumped the brushes on a paint tray and went down the stairs towards the kitchen. Percy caught a glimpse of a clock and noticed that school was long over and Glee club was in the middle of their rehearsal. He felt bad for leaving and skipping practice, especially since he had just joined earlier that day. He hoped they would understand.

When they entered the kitchen, they found a beautiful sight waiting for them. Sally Jackson stood by the oven as she had just pulled a sheet of freshly baked cookies out. She laid them down on a nearby counter. Percy's mouth watered when he saw that the cookies were a bright shade of blue.

"Hey mom." Percy said to gain her attention. Sally turned around with a smile fixed on her face. He watched it grow as her eyes landed on Annabeth.

"Annabeth! Oh, It is so wonderful to see you!" She exclaimed as she walked forward to embrace the younger girl in a tight hug, but stopped when she saw them both covered in the blue paint. Percy smiled fondly at his mother.

The three of them then sat down together around the island, with a plate of blue cookies in the middle, and just talked. Annabeth worked to bring Percy up to speed on things that had happened at camp and Percy told her and his mother about all of the new friends he had made at McKinley. Sally watched on with happiness written proudly on her face.

The three of them were interrupted some time later when Quinn walked into the kitchen. She was surprised when she saw Annabeth, but seemed to ignore her for the time being.

"So, how was rehearsal? I'm really sorry that I wasn't there." Percy started off in an attempt to apologize for his absence.

Quinn shrugged it off, suggesting that it wasn't a big deal. "Same as usual; full of drama. It seems you two were busy painting anyways." Percy felt his cheeks turn slightly pink as she walked forward a bit more and stole a cookie from the tray. She inspected it for a moment, as if she was concerned about eating it due to it's color. Eventually, she took a bite and hummed into it happily as she continued to chew. Annabeth excused herself from the group saying she was going to take a shower and wash off the paint.

When Quinn finished off her cookie, and before she took another, she seemed to remember that there was something she wanted to say. "Oh yeah, Mercedes quite the New Directions today."
