"Ano?! 80 ang card score mo sa Algebra?" Mom scolded me in front of National Book Store in Asian Life Mall.
This is humiliating, especially in this place. Too many people. They are all staring at me.
I always tried not to look at my mom's face whenever she scolds me in front of the public. This is very humiliating.
Some laugh. Some looked they're sorry for me. And some, just stand by and keep staring at me. I don't know when they will stop staring. I just...just can't keep myself from being humiliated.
I tried to explain why on Earth I got that kind of card. She wouldn't listen.
Maybe...Just maybe, I can escape.
"Don't you dare walked away from like that, Marko Perez!'" she screamed.
Suddenly, she noticed something right under me.
During that time, I tried to give a wild guess. I thought, "Oh boy, another small thing that will make her go wild again, I prefer..."
"Ano nalaman yan ,ha!? May bunganga na ang sapatos mo?! Lumapit ka nga dito!" she ordered.
Once again, I thought, "Bakit ba ginawa ng Diyos na lagi ako pinapagalitan, araw-araw yun ha, FYI!"
The story behind my left shoe is...
1.) If I will kick some ball coming from nowhere, that would be my right shoe that I wil use...
2.)I'm not walking it the mud, which will make my shoe have its mouth open. Don't you hear the school word "Hallway" ?
3.)Lastly, the story behind my shoe went back to September. We got stranded in the school because of the heavy rain. I've got to get my bag in the canteen which only way was flooded by the muddy waters. So do I have a choice?!
All of these things were misunderstood by my time by that time.
Then the new scolding started again. Better set my timer...
........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Finally, she is finished. The whole time is...
Exactly 37 minutes, 07 seconds.
After that, we went to the department store-
to buy a new shoe.
I have a theory...
That this first chapter of my story is only the beginning...
