Jungkook | Rubber Ball

Even just by looking at you from a distance makes my heart flutter.Why should I feel this way towards you? Sighing in frustration, you combed your hair with your hands. You've got a crush on Jungkook since he enrolled in your school. Well, almost all of the girls do.

You silently pass by him as he is laughing his heart out together with his friends.

"Jungkook-ssi!" Taehyung shouted after grinning widely and moving his eyebrows up and down.

You heared their group teasing Jungkook. It can't be helped since he's the youngest.

"It must be hard not to be noticed by someone you like, Kookie." Jhope said while placing his hand over his chest, acting really hurt.

"I bet she's already taken. Poor soul." Jimin added.

That girl must be lucky then.

"Will you guys just stop? You're not helping me at all." Jungkook said while frowning like an old man. He threw a rubber ball to Taehyung but the latter dodged it. Since Taehyung is leaning on a wall, the ball bounced back and unexpectedly, it hit your left arm.

"Ouch." You suddenly blurted out even if it doesn't hurt that much.

Embarrassed, you quickly walked away from the group.

"Y/N noona!" Jungkook shouted.
Oh man! That was a major turn off. Jungkook thought.

You wondered how Jungkook knew your name.

While scribbling on your notebook, your phone beeped.
Who might that be?

After few seconds it beeped again. You saw the same number.

I'm sorry for what happened earlier, noona. I was the one who accidentally hit you with a ball. I just want to know if you're okay now.

And it beeped again.

Ah! I got your number from your friend, Jiyoo noona. Just in case you're wondering if whom did I get your number.

You jumped on your bed like a crazy woman.

He noticed me! He even knows my name!

Your mom caught you screaming while the pillow is stuffed on your face.

"What's going on? Did you win on a lottery or something?" Your mom asked in confusion.

Scratching the back of your head, you shyly answered. "No mom. It's just that Jungkook finally noticed me." You hid your embarrassed face from the pillow you're holding.

"Who is that guy?" Your mom asked as she sit beside you on your bed.

"He's the--" You were interrupted by your younger sister.

"Her ultimate crush who is younger than her, mom." She then laughed like there's no tomorrow.

"Oh. The one you've been talking about these past few weeks." Your mom said teasingly as she tickled you.

"Yah! Age doesn't matter." You said convincing them.

"How's your arm? Does it hurt?" Your mom asked.

"Nope. Don't worry about me mom."

Your phone beeped, sign that someone just texted you.

I'm sorry again. Sleepwell.

You hurriedly saved his number on your contact list.

"Jungkook?" Mom.

You nodded while smiling brightly at them.

You put your phone in your drawer and dozed off to sleep.

Since it's lunch time, you made your way to your school's cafeteria.

"Jungkook! You finally did it!" Namjoon exclaimed hitting Jungkook's back.

"I just hope she didn't find me creepy." You heard Jungkook answer.

"Well, I guess you should confirm it." Jimin said while looking at you playfully.

Jungkook just gave him a questioning look.

"She's just right there." Jimin pointed at your direction with the use of his lips.

As he do that, you felt uneasy and looked away at their group.

You sat on your usual spot together with your friends.

"Girls, Namjoon oppa's group keeps on looking this way." Jina said while tucking the strand of her hair behind her ear.

Nervously, you just started eating your meal.

"Jungkook's approaching our direction. Gosh. He's so cute." Said Sooji.

"Oh! The one who's at the lower year?" Jina asked.

Sooji just nodded.

"Go Jungkook-ssi!" The boys cheered.

You saw how Jungkook's ears turn red. He then finally stood infront of your table.

"Uhm. Y/N noona. C-can we talk? Just the two of us?" Jungkook said while sincerely looking straightly into your eyes.

Jina pushed you out of your seat. "Sure Jungkook. She's all yours." She said after giving him a thumbs up.

"Go girl." Sooji whispered.

You walked out of the cafeteria together with Jungkook.

As both of you reached the rooftop, Jungkook stood infront of you.

"What are we going to talk about, Jungkook?" You did your hair a bun because the wind blows a bit strong.

As you finished, you saw Jungkook's cheeks were now tinted with pale pink blush.

"I want to say sorry personally for what happened yesterday. I didn't mean to hit you with a ball. It was all an accident."

"Don't worry. I'm okay." You said with reassuring smile.

"Noona, can I share you something?" He said while sitting.

You nodded in response.

"There's this girl that I really like but I don't know how to confess to her." He said, looking at you.

"Really? Who's the lucky girl?" You fake a smile. Looking down at Jungkook.

"Let's go? Sorry for wasting your time Y/N noona." He grabbed your hands and walk your way to cafeteria.

After that day Jungkook shared about the girl he likes, he avoided you for almost 3 weeks.

You saw bunch of people nearing the stage and got curious on what's happening.

"I've been a coward for not confessing my feelings towards this girl. Y/N yah!" He called your name while searching for you. The crowd started to mumble things and made a way for Jungkook.

"Is that her?"

"She's so lucky."

"She's older than him, right?"

"Why her?"

You kept on hearing comments from them that made you feel embarrassed.

"Can you still remember what I shared to you 3 weeks ago?" The guy started to make his way towards you.

"I know this is too sudden but it's now or never." Standing 1 feet from you, he asks you with a serious tone. "Can you go out with me? I'll make you happier each day that we're together." He then gives you a boquet but instead of flowers, it's full of sticky notes with short handwritten letters.

Instead of answering directly, you pulled him in a hug and whispered. "What took you so long?" He chuckled after hearing your response and lift you up. "A big thanks for my hyungs who helped me on doing this."

You both smiled at each other walking out of the now crowded place.
