Hope (L x Reader)

Confrontation

"What!? What do you mean they're gone!?" I yelled.
L sighed.
"Amane nor Yagami have had contact with us in twenty four hours.
They're gone. They escaped."
I jumped up and L turned his head towards me.

"What are you doing?" He asked.
My fists clenched and I grit my teeth.
"I'm not going to let them escape and hurt you! Misa has seen your name and all she needs is a death note...I left it back at the hotel room.  We have to go now!" I yelled.

We ran out to the streets and picked up a taxi.

Time skip.

We made it to the hotel room to find the door busted open. I ran in and brought out a gun.

(I'm pretty sure guns are illegal for civilians in Japan but whatever)

Misa and Light were sitting on the couch with their death notes in their hand. I charged at them with L trailing behind me.
I quickly tackled Light to the ground and pointed my gun at his head.

"Give me the notebooks or you and Misa are going to get killed!" I shrieked
"(Y/n), stop!" L yelled.
"Why should I trust you?"
Light asked angrily

"Because I'm the one with the gun."
I snorted back.
He hastily gave me both of the notes and gave Misa an odd look. He grabbed her hand and ran for it. L quickly grabbed Misa's hand and tugged her back into the room with Light leaving her behind.

"Light!" She screamed.
L cornered her and I followed.
"You lose."
I said sternly.

"Y-you have to understand (Y/n)!"
She squealed. "You're part shinigami! you should know!-"
"Enough!" I yelled.

"I don't care who or what I am. I'm here with L to make sure justice is prevailed."
I stared at L. "What shall we do?"
I asked.

"Call the police. We will detain her for questioning...Amane, if you're innocent you must prove yourself with a damn good explanation."
She gasped.

"Light made me! Where is Light! Where is he! I love him! He  wouldn't do this!"

Lights Pov

Sorry Misa, you're too slow. I'm not letting someone as low as you to get in my way of being God. They've called the police by now...I have to run.

"Where are you going?"
Cackled my shinigami.
"Shut up you useless Shinigami!"
I hissed at him.

We called the police and they're now on their way.
Misa  was bawling by the door and sobbing about something called Rem.
I shrugged and kept an eye on her while L kept watch for the police.

Time skip.

The police banged on the door and I quickly let them in. Soichero was standing there surprised to see me but this time he had other agents with him. They stared at me and gave me the

They quickly piled into the room.
"Where is she?"
Soichero asked coldly.
I pulled up Misa and casted her aside. I threw her to Soichero and the other agents handcuffed her and dragged her out of the room.

I turned to L and smiled but then looked back. Soichero was still there.
"My son..." He started.
"I'm sorry..." I said.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Your son is Kira."

That's all I could say. He was in shock and clearly he wasn't taking this well.
"You may sit down if you still need to take this in." Soichero sighed and sunk into the middle spot of the couch and ran his hands through his hair.
"My son..." L sat on his left and I sat on his right.

"We're sorry it had to end like this Mr.Yagami." L said.
"End?" He said confused.
I exchanged a look at L.
"If we find him he'll be sentenced to life in prison at the least. I'm sorry but he'll most likely be put to death."

He gasped and I tried to comfort him.
"Soichero...I know what it's like to lose someone. I've lost so many people. Your son was about to kill you. We stopped him just in time before he wrote your name."

I sat back down and Soichero stood up.
"That no good son of mine...No...he's not even a son to me."
L had a blank look on his face.

"Mr.Yagami I know I have no control of you and how you raise your kids but please don't call him that."
He sighed and sat back down.
"Sorry...I got carried away..."

He mumbled. After a bit of comforting he stood up and walked to the door.
As he was about to leave L spoke.
"Mr.Yagami..." L started.
"Yes?" He said.

"Sometimes we have to sacrifice the things we love in this world to save it... If that makes sense."
He nodded.
"Thank you both for helping me."
And he disappeared.

I felt like writing today...I'm so bored heheh.
