We found Vic in the gym, and I was sent in alone, the other three waiting outside but deciding that it would be best to let e talk to Vic alone. When I went in, I saw him sat slumped up against the punch bag with tears running down his face.

"What do you want Kellin? To rub it in my face?"
"No-"
"Tell me the truth Kellin. What happened between you and Ashton? When did it happen?" He looked up at me, eyes big and full of pain.
"It was a mistake, okay." I took a breath, and sat down next to him. "When Mike took me to Michigan, we went clubbing on the second night. I got very drunk, and when Mike went off to the toilet, Ashton came over to me, and started trying to... Well, trying to get me to hook up with it. I resisted it at first, remembering that it would be unfair on you. But I was mad at you, in my drunken state, for the argument that we'd had the last time I'd seen you, and I gave in." Vic looked at me again, almost in disbelief. And that was exactly when Jaime and Tony walked in.

"Vic? Are you okay?" Tony approached him, Jaime motioning for me to get up and walk over to him, which I did. They knew Vic better than me, and therefore the best thing to do in this situation.
"I don't know. Kellin is very good at hiding things though, did you know he hooked up with someone in Michigan?" I knew it was wrong the second Tony looked worried rather than surprised. "You already knew, didn't you?" He stood up and started moving towards us, Tony retreating slowly, hands in front of him, already prepared for attack.
"Vic, I-"
"How could you? I bet all of you knew. Where the hell's Mike? He's my brother, he should have told me."  Vic changed direction, now headed for the door.
"Mike, run!" I heard footsteps in the corridor, indicating that Mike had taken Jaime's shout as a warning that Vic was coming. Sure enough, Vic went straight out of the door, running down the corridor screaming profanities at Mike. We followed quickly, leaving the gym just in time to see Vic dart round a corner.

We must have run the entire length of the house, going up and down stairs, the whole way into the entrance hall, where Vic eventually caught Mike, who had gotten tired by this point. We were all tired, and I somehow ended up leaning against the front door.
"How could you keep this from me, Mike? I'm your brother, we are supposed to get through everything together." His voice was somewhere between growling and yelling.
"Because he regrets it, Vic."
"Of course he does, it was a meaningless one night stand!"
"I was also worried that you'd do this. That isn't why he regrets it at all, but you lose your temper so quickly you'd never see it. I didn't tell you because I was protecting both of you. I was worried that you finding out would result in you being hurt, or maybe hurting Kellin, and hating yourself because of it." This just made Vic more furious, and I saw his fists clenching, arm drawing back to do something I never thought would happen. He punched Mike, square in the jaw.
"So I'm the monster? The one that everyone needs to be protected from? I..." His words faltered, and he turned away, storming towards me. I put my hands up to defend myself, only to be pushed out of the way. Vic opened the door and ran out to the garage, grabbing his keys and unlocking his Jaguar.

"You go after him Tony, don't let him doing anything stupid. Mike will heal, Vic might not if he crashes." Tony nodded, leaving the house and running for the garage too, just as Vic pulled away. "Close the door and try not worry Kellin. He'll see sense once he calms down. Lets get Mike here into the kitchen and get him some ice."

Before long, we were sat in the dining room, Mike holding a bag of ice against the edge of his jaw.
"I knew this would happen if he found out. That is why I told you he mustn't find out. God I hate Ashton, everything was fine the way it was, and he has ruined it."
"It's going to blow over, though. I'm sure it will eventually, but Tony just texted me saying he's gone straight into a liqueur store, bought half a shelf, and walked to the beach, drinking as he went. I think we might need to go and get his car, but just see if Jaime can talk him out of it first." I felt a huge surge of guilt, knowing that it was my actions driving Vic to be trying to drink his problems away. Jaime seemed to notice how quiet I was though, having managed to not speak since telling Vic what had happened.
"Its not your fault Kellin. We all get drunk and make mistakes. Hell, I've seen Vic try to sleep with a guy who looked a bit like you when he's been pissed before. I've done it, Mike did it the same night as you. Tony tries every time we go clubbing. It's just something that happened. And you didn't tell him, either. Ashton revealed it all for him to see, so you can hate him. Actually, maybe we should stop him from coming back tomorrow."
"No time. I can see if Juliet will come up though, so you won't be alone with him Kellin. I'll fill her in on everything that happened, you tell Tony that we're going to come and get the car, so that Vic doesn't end up behind the wheel drunk." Jaime nodded, already getting his phone out of his pocket and dialling Tony's number.
