People always take what they have for granted, until one day it is completely gone. Corey a confused and heart broken teenager, struggles to fit in and deal with the choices of love and loss. Ally has always been uptight and all about her school work, a rich girl from California. Always following the whims and ways of her overly busy dad and mother. Finally comes out of her shell when her dad forces her to move to a small town half way across the United states. Never truly loving anyone or knowing what loss is, she go's into her new school and life with an open mind.
Drew has always been an over confident bad boy type, always living in the shadow of his older brother Corey and rebelling to get the attention he wants. Hes never had trouble with the ladies, with partying, with drinking, or with having a great time. When Drew actually ends up caring for someone he has no clue what to do.
When these three friends come together and find who they truly are for the first time, they are hit with the biggest tragedy to overcome the world, a deadly virus sweeps the entire planet and kills off a quarter of the population, infects another quarter and leaves half of them to try to survive to not become infected. When the trio finds out about this things begin to be put into play and they must find a way to survive, and at the same time grow strong bonds with each other, learn to trust strangers, and most importantly stay alive.
