Chapter 8/Astrid's plan

Hiccup

As I look around, I was very worried about Astrid. She did live with dragons for five years but what is her strategy here? Luna looks at the surroundings and said, "Uh, earth to Hiccup? What's the plan?" I realize that the others were waiting for instructions. "Right. Snoutlout, you get all the Nightmares round up, Fishlegs, go with him." Fish legs groans, "Really?" "Do you have any ideas, I'm all ears." I said, pointing at the flames. "Good point." He said and they flew off. "Ruff, Tuff, you and Luna get the villagers into a safer place." Luna suggest, "The Cove?" I nodded, "Good idea. Lead them there. Toothless and I will stay here and defend Berk with Dad." Luna said, "Good luck and be careful, ok?" I laughed, "Luna, you seen me in action. I'll be fine. You don't need to worry." She rolls her eyes at me, "That's when I worry the most, Hic." They left and I flew towards Dad and Skullcrusher. "Hiccup! You shouldn't be here." He said. I shrugged, "What you want me to do, Dad? I'm going to be the next Chief, right? This is one of the situations you always talked to me about all the time. Right now, we need to defend Berk and we can help Nita." Dad looks at me with confusion. "Who in the name of Thor is Nita?" I pointed to Astrid with the other Dragons. "That's Nita." 

Nita

I knew that I have to get all the dragons to stop fighting and change sides from Dagur. It's not going to be easy but it is the plan I got and since I live with Dragons, I learn to defend myself. Dagur saw me and said, "You again? Will you ever stop fighting?" I said, "No. I will defend this village with my friends." The dragons roars with me as they agree with the idea. Dagur laughs as if I was insane. "You don't anything about Dragons." With that, they were aiming towards the man I love : Hiccup! "Hiccup!" I cried, and I pushed him out of harm's way. "Nita!" Stormfly cries as I passed out. 

Hiccup

I groaned and I was not sure what the heck happened. Then I remembered someone was calling me. I turned around and I saw Astrid laying next to me in my house. "Dad, what happened?" I asked the Chief. He replies, "Well, whatever Nita did, she saved you from being burned alive by Dagur's dragons. She was knocked from the explosion. Gothi said that she'll be up shortly. She has no injures." I sigh with relief. At least Astrid was safe and that is what matters to me. Then as if right on cue, she woke up. I said, "Hey, how you feeling?" She shrugs, "I'm fine, how about you?" I nodded, "I'm doing great, although you are crazy enough to save me like that. Thanks." She blushes, "N-No problem, Hic." "Son, how you know her?" Astrid and I looked at one other. How we going to explain this to the Chief of Berk that Nita is Astrid? "She's just a Rider I met." I lied. She replies, "Yeah. And Hiccup here landed in my isle and needed help here in Berk." The Chief looks at us and said, "Well, then I welcome you to Berk, Nita. Do you have any place to stay for the night?" "No, sir." She replies. I knew what to do. "Hey, we have a spare bedroom, Dad. Nita can use it." Dad said, "Then it's settled. Nita will stay over here tonight. Hiccup, you and Toothless get Luna and the villagers out of the Cove right away." "On it, Dad. Can Nita go with us? I want to talk to her alone." "Very well. Now go." We flew on our dragons and we sighed in relief. "Man, that was close." I said. Astrid said, "No kidding. Stoick seemed happy with that Dragon of his, just like you and Toothless." I said, "Well, I told you that Berk changed for five years since the Red Death was defeated." She looks at me with curious face. "What is it, Astrid?" "It's kinda different than I last been here in Berk. Do you think anyone would realize me?" I laughed, "With your secret, I doubt that anyone on Berk would know it's you, Astrid." We arrived to the Cove, Luna spots me and ran towards me. "Hiccup!" She embraces me into a hug and I said, "Hey, Luna. How is everyone?" "Everyone is doing just fine, Hic. So, how is Berk holding up?" Nita said, "Dagur is not here. Stoick said it's safe to go back." Luna looks at us and said, "Hiccup, does she remind you of someone?" I looked at Astrid, "No. What she look like to you?" She shrugs, "She reminds me of Astrid. But that's impossible. She's dead." I laughed. "What I say?" She asks. "Oh, let's just say that I know something you don't know, Sis."
