Someone asked me what love meant to me today.
Well, I was learning about how people suffer and how love shines through in the dark. I usually wouldn't pay attention in lessons like these, because the teacher tries to understand me but she doesn't. Something caught my attention though.
My friend turned his face towards me and asked me 5 simple words. You want to know what they were?
"What is love to you?"
I never replied, I was in too deep a thought. I also started thinking about amortentia, the love potion in Harry Potter. Honestly, my mind went blank.
This is because love to me is the simple things on the earth, the creativity in life.
It could be the way raindrops slowly fall off the curve of a leaf, collecting at the edge before dropping off onto the land below. Or maybe the way a leather book feels under the touch of your dry fingers. Or even the way a daisy smells when you play with it between your fingers. Or even the cry of hallelujah escaping the lips of someone you love.
Little things in life create a blank canvas into a beautiful collage.
